  1. High schools around me have a 10 runs after 5 or 15 after 3 rule. NCAA softball is 8 after 5 which is kind of bizarre
  2. He did nearly give me a heart attack in the 9th when he said “Kyle garlick coming into the game to pitch”
  3. I mean, yeah, but at 8 runs? That would be a bit of a mockery
  4. MLB needs to do something about these teams throwing position players in so frequently. A seven run game and there’s a position player throwing? Get out of here with that. MLB loves messing with everything else about the game but allows someone to go in there and toss 60 mph softballs in a game that might be in hand but certainly not some embarrassing blowout. One day one of these guys is going to wear one in the teeth and it won’t be so funny.
  5. Pagan only threw a few pitches so he’ll be available to be close tomorrow, if needed
  6. Going to have to burn duran in what was a 7 run game, aren’t we?
  7. Been shutout ELEVEN times too. Been shutout in 11% of their games. Bad bad bad
  8. Seems like it’s an all or nothing offense. Runs in bunches or nothing at all. Not much in the middle
  9. So many things have changed about baseball but not rule #1: you can’t win without pitching. And the twins have none. Zero. Zilch.
  10. There was a time not very long ago at all where I would have fully disagreed with this statement, especially concerning Cleveland. I still believe we’re better than Cleveland but thinking Chicago is going to cruise past us. We just have nothing in the pitching department. Nothing.
  11. Well pretty soon we’ll be at the point of the season where only like 4 people post here, so I guess we should enjoy it while we can
  12. The only thing he should be auditioning for is America’s got talent
  13. This is why the team needs to win so we don’t have to talk about nonsense like this ?
  14. Who said that it does? If I were in a stadium with tens of thousands of people, I probably would stand. In what way could it possibly hurt? Not every moment has to be about me and what I want or think
  15. He was awesome when we needed a big double play. Other than that, yikes
  16. So stay seated and look silly, go for it lol no one is being jailed for it. Not every moment has to be a crusade
  17. I would agree that’s it’s probably overkill to have it played at all games. But even during the anthem, there isn’t a whole lot of uniform respect shown from the players. Just a sign of the times.
  18. Maybe it doesn’t to you, but it’s such a tiny tiny thing to ask of someone to stand for a minute and take their hat off, is it worth making a stink over? Imagine if the country still called ball players (and everyone else) to serve in wars instead of expecting them to stand for a song. Bet you they’d rather stand for a minute. and besides you’re free to do whatever you want as a fan. Someone might give you grief but that’s about it. Not sure if the teams require it or fine players who don’t stand. When I worked in minor league ball some guys would go up the tunnel during the anthem. Doubt they ever got fined. It would just look a little more respectful if everyone was on the same page.
