    A lot of those guys you mentioned were signed by teams with much better roster situations. Might make more sense to me to take a swing when you have a team that realistically has a chance to compete. Even then, when these guys get to their mid-late 30s then they tend to just become an albatross

    This is why I said disappointing. It got so bad with his lack of clutch hitting that some posters on this board were trying to convince us that we “didn’t sign correa for his offense”. I actually thought his defense was good. But clutch hitting wise he was a dud. Which is besides the point anyway to me because we need so much help all over the field that I highly doubt dumping all that salary into one guy is going to make this a playoff team. But I may be in the minority here

    Why would you tie up that much money into one guy when you have a roster full of holes and the team realistically not ready to contend? You watched most of the games this year, how soon in your estimation is this team to seriously competing?

    No reason for this team to spend that much on CC. Anyone who watched the playoffs should have seen how far off the twins are from competing. Makes zero sense to dump that much money into one guy who was largely a disappointment offensively last year

    I didn’t even think of that. Basically 2 quarterbacks over the last 30 years. Incredible fortune. Hopefully they’ll draft a bust and spend year after year trying to figure out the QB situation. They’re due for a downturn.

    We still have to face the jets who have a defense that leads the league in QB pressures. Yesterday was bad for the Oline. Guys were coming in untouched. Other guys were just tossing our linemen aside. I too wonder about KOC’s ability to make in game adjustments. We’ve been terrible in the third quarter most of the season. After the offense went off script after the first drive, they did nothing until late in the 4th. Concerning. One fly in the ointment for finishing with the 2nd seed is seattle. They’re somehow 6-3. Now we have an angry buffalo team coming up and a game with Dallas then a short week against the patriots. Thank goodness they pulled it out yesterday, although now that only one team gets a bye it’s a little less imperative to finish second
