  1. The Falvey regime keeps their cards close to their vest. It is kind of amazing how they manage that process.
  2. Why would you take a young up and coming hitter like this and turn him into a DH? I have a better chance of being the Twins DH then this happening and I haven't picked up a bat in over 57 years.
  3. I am not overly concerned about Pagan, he either performs or he doesn't. I am guessing he is on a short leash to begin the season. A bigger gamble is Carlos Correa because if he goes down with an ankle issue Minnesota becomes the laughing stock of MLB and ownership pretty much has no choice but to jettison Falvey and Levine. See, there is always a silver lining to be found.
  4. Seems to me the Twins keeping cutting at the edges to make it more of a non-event and then in a year or two will shut it down for low attendance.
  5. Seth, I agree 100%. He has not panned out in LA (so far) but I would love to see him get a shot with the Twins. He reminds me if Shane Mack in a way. A change of scenery might be just the thing to get him to the next level. I think he is a risk worth taking, it just depends on what the Angels want in return.
  6. There is no such thing as a total no trade clause. There is always a way around it, it just depends on how bad you want to make a deal.
  7. The list of Twins players with things to prove should include most everyone on their roster and the top two on the list should be Buxton and Pagan.
  8. If he can finally find a way to shake off the injuries and stay somewhat healthy. Isn't that like saying if Miguel Sano didn't strike out so much he would be a great player? Instead he finds himself looking for a job.
  9. There is absolutely no reason to think that Buxton is going to be healthier as he ages. The Twins needs to catch him in one of his healthy productive streaks and trade him as quickly as possible. Get as much as you can for him as you can while you can.
  10. Fine and good but you can't assume that these players would have signed for the same dollars to play for the Minnesota Twins.
  11. Disappointed but I am not a long term deal contract fan so it is what is. You can't always get what you want in life. What I don't want is to see the Twins panic and throw big money at Swanson.
  12. But I keep this article current so stop by and check it out. Thank you.
  13. Much ado about nothing. If you don't like them, then don't buy one and the problem is solved. I won't buy one but I won't spend any time complaining about it either.
  14. Every player is a trade candidate, if they are not they should be.
  15. The most valuable pitcher on this list for the Twins might be number 11 Rod Stripling.
  16. Just because you can throw hard doesn't mean you know where to throw it or that you can throw it accurately.
  17. I sure am glad I don't have to make a decision on him. The man threw only 5 innings twice this year, both happened in September. In 21 starts he never hit the 80 pitch mark. His stats for this year are dismal. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=balazo000jor. Still very young but being young doesn't make you a pitcher. I would try to move him before his so called potential disappears totally.
