  1. Anyway, I love TF. For me, it's one of the top 3 parks I have visited. I hope the games I see this June aren't rained or snowed out:-)
  2. I get that, but let's say you live near the ballpark and a game you have tickets for gets rained or snowed out. It gets rescheduled for a later date in the year. You can just go back then since you live there and see it. The travelling fans just spent the money to travel there and hotel room for nothing. I wish this was theoretical, but I only go to a few MLB games a year (if any depending in circumstances) and I almost always schedule the visits between June 1 and end of August. Yet I have only once had a visit for a series where at least one game wasn't cancelled and rescheduled to a later time if the year. It just stinks to have that happen. One time, I was only going to two games at Coors Field and both games were cancelled and rescheduled for like a month later. Money right down the toilet.
  3. sounds like your main problem with the retractable roof is how it is used. For those of us who have to travel quite a ways to go to games, and pay a lot to get there and stay in hotels, retractable roofs would be a huge money saver.
  4. Any idea why there is a day off between a Monday day game and Wednesday night game? Or for that matter, why the series in Seattle starts on Thursday, SKIPS FRIDAY, then continues on Saturday and Sunday? Who made these schedules?
  5. The last time the Twins had three starters consecutively go at least 6 scoreless was June 2014. Correia, Hughes, Gibson.
  6. many years ago, I did that with Johan Santana's changeup, but pitches always cheat man. It's not worth it ;-)
  7. So Buxton's running catch in the 8th, that looked seemingly easy since he caught it shoulder length while charging in, was a 5 star catch according to statcast. He covered 92 feet in 4.8 seconds. That hit ball only gets caught 21% of the time.
  8. Yeah, I don't really understand. Maybe it's an old school unwritten rule that I've never heard of?
  9. Why would that be irrational? Rosario has the tools to be a very good hitter. The MVP candidate part might be a bit irrational though ;-)
  10. Neil Walker is a fine 2B and Torres is pretty much ready. He'll likely be in NY this year and certainly by next year where he'll take over SS with Didi moving to 2B or Torres will switch to 2B. Either way, they won't want or need Dozier.
  11. Yeah, I can't really express how uninteresting season 2 of Jessica Jones was. And for me, as much as I loved season one of Daredevil, Jessica Jones season one was on the same level. Luke Cage was a step down and Iron First was horrible (as was the Defenders, which was a huge disappointment). I liked Daredevil season 2, myself, but I never got through Punisher.
  12. Other than the idea that Duke was actually fine, I agree with Seth's wrap-up. Duke was all over the place.
  13. So it was obvious Duke didn't have it today...so why leave him out there exactly?
  14. I like Andrew's picks except for Relief pitcher. That's Addison Reed
  15. Offensively, sure. I don't disagree with that. But we aren't close to them in pitching and they are also better on D.
  16. Reminds me of how Hunter was never offered an extension/new contract until like August of his last season with us. That low ball offer did it's desired effect: Made some fans praise the FO efforts to keep him and turn on Hunter because he didn't sign with us. It was a nothing offer compared to the market. Add that to the fact he pushed for a new contract while the Twins did nothing to sign him before the last season made his choice the right one (for him not us).
  17. Exactly. And they came on strong the 2nd half. Putting the wild card label on them to diminish that reality doesn't really work.
