Article: A Blueprint For The Bronx
pierre75275 replied to Ted Schwerzler's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
If the Yankees sweep the Bosox this wknd the Yankees and Bosox would then have the same record and would need a one game playoff. The twins would play the loser. Not likely to happen but it would be best case scenario for the Twins and is fun to think about. -
Rooker looks like he has a lot of swing and miss stuff with tremendous power. Is there any reason we should think his career path won't resemble Adam Walker?

I was at the FT Myers game. The bat boy was drilled in the head by a line drive. Does anybody know if he is okay? It was a really scary moment. Other then the game winning hit, Tebow got the most cheers. I was surprised by that.

Article: Surprises Mark Twins Opening Day Roster
pierre75275 replied to Seth Stohs's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Umm...guys...Santana isn't on the roster at the expense of Park. The 13 pitchers are what got Park sent to AAA. The bench cannot be Park Grossman and Gimenez. Who would back up the in field? I guess you could say that Grossman made the team at Parks expense but that wouldn't necessarily be true either as Park pry plays outfield worse then Grossman. It really is the xtra pitcher-Haley that cost Park.- 388 replies

Twins Almanac for March 26-April 1
pierre75275 commented on Matt Johnson's blog entry in The Twins Almanac
I was at the game in May 2009 that Cuddyer hit for cycle. It was against the Brewers, I don't remember the score but i think we were winning easily, and I was begging for triple when Cuddyer came up and when he hit down the third base line I knew he was not stopping at 2nd.my friend that I was with was a die hard brewers fan, which made it a little sweeter for me.- 2 comments

I don't understand why people think that the Twins would want Kolton Wong. With all the options the Twins have I can't understand why they would want Wong.- 209 replies

Article: Cody's 2016 Twins Offseason Blueprint
pierre75275 replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I think tendering Plouffe would be a huge mistake. He was untradeable last offseason and isn't worth anything near 9 million. If he is signed this year for that amount he will be untradeable next year as well. Non tender him and if you think he is needed sign him back at a much lower cost. Look at the contract David Freese signed. And if you can't sign Plouffe back, he isn't needed on the team anyway and good for him for landing a deal somewhere else hopefully on a contender- 36 replies

Article: Dozier's Case For American League MVP
pierre75275 replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I want to see Dozier get some national recognition. I don't think he should win it but I don't think the deciding factor of who does should simply be bc they play on a winning team.- 65 replies

It could get complicated. It may take a 3 team trade. I think Dozier if traded is worth more then 1 player in return. Right now his value is so high I think the Twins need to wait because I doubt they could get what he is worth back.

Article: For The Love Of Joe
pierre75275 replied to Seth Stohs's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Things that people say that make my head explode when talking about Joe Mauer: He makes too much money, he isnt worth it, he should give it back to the Twins- bc billionaire baseball owners never have enough. Let's move Joe Mauer to catcher. Let's trade Joe Mauer to Boston or NY because that no trade clause is really a suggestion anyway. Please note I made up my own reasons for why people say things about Joe Mauer.- 125 replies

Article: Brian Dozier: Powerful Asset
pierre75275 replied to Nick Nelson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I would rather Non-tender Plouffe and keep Dozier. I think you can only do one or the other, not both. If you do both, you no longer have depth. If Plouffe and Dozier are both gone, that leaves Polanco at 2nd, EE at short and Sano at 3rd. And that is fine but who plays when those guys need a day off or there is a long injury? Danny Santana? I also think if Dozier is traded we get back a pitcher who is one or two on the depth chart plus a catcher who is can't miss plus a good prospect in the lower levels, otherwise keep him -
I think Buxton is far from having a guaranteed spot out of spring training. I think Grossman stays until Buxton gets recalled next year whenever the Twins decide he is ready. I think Dsantana sticks one more year until the Buxton/Palka/Walker/Grossman situation has more clarity.

Article: Painted Into A Corner (Infield Crunch)
pierre75275 replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
If I am GM I non-tender Plouffe at the end of the year. There is no market for him and going thru arbitration will give him a raise over the 7.7 mil he is making this year. I dangle Vargas and Park in trades and if neither moves i start with Vargas in bigs and Park in AAA. Also..this is a long shot but i lobby in the new agreement to have rosters expanded to 26..which eases the crunch.- 101 replies

Buxton Remains Twins Biggest Hurdle For New GM
pierre75275 commented on Ted Schwerzler's blog entry in Off The Baggy
I would be shocked if they brought him back up this year. I don't see it happening no matter what he does down there. I also would be shocked if they handed him the job in CF out of spring training. I have high hopes for this kid but I don't think anybody wants to see him continue to struggle at the ML
