I would be fine as high as 2/18 as long as it is only two years. I just think they really want three years at 8 million to do an extension otherwise they are likely inclined to see what the market brings them. Based on last year he should be able to get 3 years for 21 mil pretty easy I would think. Coupled with the lack of available catchers he could go 3/24. I have to believe it's the years that will be sticking point and to extend you typically have to overpay to make a deal. IMO they should trade him and overpay in FA makes it a win, win that way.
