  1. Ahem, if I may weigh in: As someone who is an expert at flailing, I can easily recognize flailure in others. Make no mistake: The FO and the Manager are flailing wildly rather than calmly assessing the situation.
  2. I decided to find out what this what's on your mind things is all about.

  3. Oddly enough, this turned out to be true. However, our pitchers forgot about the rest of the lineup.
  4. Hmm, seems like having to work when the game started, travel time home, chores upon arrival home along with going out to dinner have all conspired together to let me miss something that was good to miss. I did, however, get to see Mr. Sano make a couple of nice running catches. The one in the corner was pretty darn good.
  5. Honestly, I don't know hoppy from bouncy. I only know that beer should not come out the same color it went in.
  6. I never claimed I was a Harper fan. Politicians, by their very nature, are power mad tyrants who know how to buy the votes, I mean, gull the masses into voting them into office. As for buying, only if I get to choose the beer or whiskey. I'm not about to buy some Canadia equivalent of the "Champagne of Bottled Beers." It's stout or nothing!! (okay, okay, if you run across a decent Bock, I might let it slide.)
  7. Good grief, that band is what would happen if Bob Dylan and Neil Young were somehow magically fused.
  8. The news about Colabello disappoints me. I really thought he was a stand-up guy too. As for his statement, well, Lance Armstrong denied cheating and still lied after being caught. We've heard it all before. And, Twins fans really cannot throw stones, because our very own Ervin Santana missed 80 games last year for, yep, you guessed it, a PED suspension. Oddly enough, Mr. Santana also had no idea how he wound up with PED's in his system.
  9. Ah, still in the honeymoon period, I see. Well, you guys are known for your rose coloured glasses.
  10. I always like it when the game thread is up long before the game starts. It means I have time to get in a pre-game nap. The pre-game warmup is crucial to the serious fan.
  11. Yeah the strike zone issue is where the lack of professional at-bats is hurting. None of this excuses Arcia's blunders in the outfield, however. Nor does it excuse Dozier not running out the ground ball. As much as I'd like to rip Twins pitching, the schizophrenic strike zone, coupled with poor defense, just cannot be overlooked in the whole mess.
  12. Watching the game last night, I saw a Twins pitcher clearly catch, and Foxtracks backed it up, the low outside corner of the plate. (I don't remember which pitcher) If memory serves, that missed call, and it wasn't really even close, lead to a walk or maybe a run. Just one example.
  13. I've seen a couple of things things happening that I think are affecting the Twins. One of which I'm not sure can be fixed. It looks to me like the strike zone has been wildly inconsistent. An inconsistent strike zone along with pitchers who need to hit their spots and get consistent calls is a recipe for disaster. Couple an inconsistent zone with inexperienced players who don't know how or are not coached to take professional at bats and I see a recipe for disaster. Obviously, I'm not excusing pitchers throwing belt-high fastballs. However, when they're not getting calls it makes things tough.
  14. In other words, the same stuff the Twins took before the game tonight?
  15. I don't mind losses as long as the team plays well. That's why I was able to stomach the early losing streak. This is downright ugly.
  16. Well, at least this loss was a team effort. Granted, they've yet to lose..but, I'll start the epitaph anyway.
  17. I'm sorry, could you repeat that? I couldn't hear you......
  18. The Twins are getting pounded by, what is, at best, a mediocre team.
  19. I think the Twins may get to bat in the next couple of years. I think. What can I say? I'm an optimist.
  20. Yeah, pretty much my thought. I don't understand, though. Arcia was taking professional at bats. Somewhere, that went away the last couple of games.
  21. Obviously, I do not have the same psychic ability as chitown.
