  1. I needed this. I went through game thread withdrawal yesterday. We won't discuss the off-season.
  2. I see it more as the FO is trying to give Molitor some arms to work with while also looking for ways to clean up the 40 man.
  3. Shane Robinson? The Shane Robinson? Not much bat, excellent defensive outfielder?
  4. Shoot, if Mejia can induce triple plays, might as well walk the first three batters and then pitch to the fourth. Save some wear and tear on the old arm.
  5. I believe the last time I saw the Twins turn a triple play was against Cleveland and Al Newman was playing.
  6. I was unable to watch the triple play. Did Bremer survive the call?
  7. It won't truly be Hatcher until Rosario dives for a ball jumps up, can't find the ball and then realizes the ball wound up under his hat that came off. (I think it was Hatcher that made that classic play. It was hilarious)
  8. I was seeing all this stuff about Pujols and 600 home runs and thought it was cool that he had regained his stroke. Then, I look at his numbers and wow, that's a lot of money for very little.
  9. I'm spoiled living in CA. Games comes on shortly after I get home, end by 8 pm or so and away I go. This 7:10 pm start time is a drag.
  10. You questioned what a sense of humor was. Naturally, I assumed you were from the FBI and pulled up this clip of you in action.
  11. I think you're implying Mr. Breslow has an endless supply of pitches purchased from ACME. Right?
  12. Well, according to Molitor, the Twins have built up a ton of character these last few days. Let's hope the Twins stop building character in Anaheim.
  13. Santana and the bats answered the call. Molitor decided, with a 6 run lead, to use the same people rather than going with the arms that were brought up. The extra inning loss, it is what it is. I find the decisions made by Molitor today to be inexcusable, especially considering how many games the Twins are playing over the next few weeks. Edit: I hope I'm not coming across as overly harsh, because it's not intended that way.
  14. Molitor, I thought, was brought in so there could be a little bit of innovation. Instead, Molitor seems to be an old-school manager who talks analytics. Maybe Molitor is good with lineup construction but I find his use of the bullpen to be rather questionable as of late.
  15. I think the teaching moment should involve pink slips of paper and handshakes.
  16. I cannot even get to worked up over Pressly not performing. I think Molitor was asking a bit too much bringing him out again. However, both Belisle and Breslow are supposed to have the experience to get through these kinds of situations and they both failed.
  17. The day after 14 inning game in which every single relief pitcher was used do you: A. Bring out the tired arms to get the last outs, even though you've got a 6 run lead, Or, B. Use the arms just brought up because everyone in the bullpen has been hard used. Hmm, decisions, decisions.
