  1. Gray deserves the honor of being the opening day starter, as he was the one of the most reliable twins pitchers last year WHEN he was on the felid. At 33, he likely has only has a few seasons left, although he may well be one of the pitchers who stays around a long time. All depends on how his spring goes though.
  2. Man, I though that they were getting rid of that rule, and I was ready to say good riddance. I guess I was wrong. It just dosn't feel right, and I liked 18 inning games where they played till 1am once in a while.
  3. I can’t wait until the big names like Correa and Buxton are in the lineup. It was interesting to see brooks lee today, but the only MLB players from last year were Jose Miranda and Joe Ryan.
  4. I think that in the end it really comes down too who are they going to have at short, who at other infield positions, and who playing corner outfield spots. For now we are JUST FINE with Correa at short though.
  5. A bit optimistic maybe, but you are right that the merchandise sales in japan would cover a big part of his contract. The people there adore him.
  6. Exactly! How hard is it just to set up a camera or two!? That’s all they need to do!
  7. Today, when I was scrolling through the tickets page on the twins website, I saw that a giveaway for a September 9th game against the Mets was a “ los twins” jersey giveaway. I have seen the “ los Dodgers and los reds” jerseys, but never a twins one. It probably is just a cheap t-shirt for kids, but you never know.
  8. Why don’t we get that dog to pitch in place of pagan!
  9. Well, with all the players on the 40 man, I think the only way we are going to get anyone besides the core players, like Corea, Buxton, Miranda etc, consistent playing time is to have a rotational DH spot.
  10. I say that he is the go to guy when Buxton or anyone in the outfield needs a day off. Kirillof might see a few starts in left or right, but looks more primed for first. Don’t think Gordon will see anytime in the infield with Solano now on the team though.
  11. I think that Solano at his best could be a dollar-store version of Luis arráez, good contact, not much power. They are going to have a fun time trying to fit 36 players on the 26 man roster though.
  12. Remember when people were talking about Miguel Sano being “the next David Ortiz?” Ha. That sure didn’t happen. Sure, Sano had a few good years with the twins, and was a fan favorite, but that k rate always lingering around 30% sure didn’t help his play on the field. I think it was pretty obvious all along that sano wasn’t going to be the next David Ortiz, but the twins pulled the last straw when after just an ok 2021 season, he was injured, and in his 60 at bats, only managed to get five hits. That’s only a 083 batting average! They obviously turned down his 10m$ option and little has been heard about him since. We did hear he had gone to Tampa Bay’s facility’s, but that deal probably will never come over again. If he wants to continue playing baseball he has three options: 1. Sing a low-cost contract with a low level MLB team like the a’s or reds 2.Sing a minor league contract (most likely) 3. Go to japan and try to re-invent his swing Any of those would at this point be good options for sano if he wants to continue playing baseball. At this time he is still a free agent floating around for any team that wants him.

  14. Start out the year with a six man rotation, and then keep the one who pitches better in the starting mix, and move the other to the bullpen.
