  1. I disagree completely. Buxton will definately have an opportunity to win an MVP award this year. Everything else sounds great.
  2. I can't either, but it's crazy how teams are valuing prospects and cheap, affordable talent these days.
  3. Question. If we were to trade #39 and nothing else, what would it get us? A late inning releiver? A mid-rotation starter? Or am I valuing too highly?
  4. Seems to be a discrepency between Jeffers stat line and the posted .770 OPS. Awesome write-up, Thank You.
  5. Littell looked really good. Arreaz has looked really good. Adrianza has performed the worst, but he has been steady and solid. Astudillo's bat has been flagging for a while. But he continues to be an asset to the team. With Duffy's new veliocity and his usual awesome breaking balls, how could you possibly send him down? Gun to my head, I would choose Adrianza or Arraez, and probably Littell. I would not be happy about it. I suspect it will actually be Arraez and Littell. Good problem to have, GREAT problem to have, but this just plain sux.
  6. Agreed on all counts for Keuchell. Also that reliever guy whos name escapes me because I haven't heard or read it in so long. Jimmy Kimbrell? Pass on him too.
  7. Oh, I agree, there's definately a longevity component to "Star" status and MVP consideration. I only meant that if his slash line ends the year what it is now, and his counting stats continue to count, I would expect his name to figure prominantly in the MVP discussion. As to your point about Garver amd Polanco...I agree, and I would just say that sometimes it feels real, real good to have problems like that
  8. If Buxton keeps this up all season he will absolutely be very much in the conversation for MVP.
  9. He certainly could. He has been a truly great hitter with the exception of the first half of of the year his grandfather died.
  10. Houston's lineup is great, and Toronto's offense is aldo very good. He is throwing very well right now.
  11. I said it in a game thread recently. Step on their throats. Take it. Demand it. Momentum is real. So is Confidence. Attitude. Swagger. I have been a Twins fan since '85. And I have loved every minute of it. But post '91, I can honestly say I didn't feel any of those words above myself, and I didn't feel my team did either...until this year. We are witnessing the beginning of something great.
  12. A strong Sano instead of MG and this might be the best offensiive lineup since...i have no idea when. I suppose one of the M&M/TH/Cuddy years.
