  1. Well... Now that they're going to ban the shift, I suggest they draw out little chalk circles where each player is allowed to lineup. But why stop there? Extend the lines to show where each player is allowed to chase the ball. Like table hockey. Hey just because your cf has great range it doesn't mean he should be able to catch balls that your slow right fielder can't get to right? Why should you allow the pitcher to cover first base just because the first baseman got pulled off the bag? Less chance of him getting injured that way too. Oh yeah, that bigger base. I'm sure that's going to help...
  2. No to banning the shift. Let the hitters learn - take your chances. Nobody complains about outfielders moving, let the fielders line up where they want. Play ball!!
  3. And a quick Google search in 2016 brought a Twins fan in Buffalo to your site. It's been my go-to for my Twins fix every since
  4. One of my favorite players as a kid. Wait, all the Twins were my favorite players as a kid...
  5. What happened that made Gordon no longer a SS candidate? Is his range that bad? Not enough arm? Or are we just drafting ss with the idea that if a kid has the ability to play short, he can easily transition into other positions?
  6. I'd rather wait and see how '22 plays out. Will Jeffers be able to step in? If they're horrible again in 22 he could be a trade piece.
  7. I'd like to think using him as an opener can help him grow into a full time starting pitcher.
  8. If there is no MLB, fans should boycott the MiLB games. Team owners will raise prices in hopes of cashing in on desperate fans. Attendance would go up, concessions etc, meanwhile the players are still making their minor league salaries. With no hopes of moving up.
  9. I'm hip to both Jeffers and Alcala. I think both can be major players. Guilty of writing off Dobnak. But I won't complain if I'm wrong.
  10. My guess is we'll see both. Good and bad, hopefully less of the bad as he learns his way. We have a better sample size to go with.
  11. I'd like to see someone market indoor lacrosse (NLL) trading cards. Grow the game.
  12. The way I read it, if he plays, and plays well, he gets paid commensurately. If he gets hurt, he doesn't get the big bucks. Sure, he's one wall crash from dain brammage, but so is any other player. I don't feel this contract is any riskier to the team than any other, on the open market he would have garnered much more guaranteed money. I'm happy with it
  13. I think what we saw with Ober is what we'll get again, but over the entire year. Expecting Ryan to be as dominant as he was...I think yeah, we're expecting too much. But I'm also old enough to remember Fernandomania. It could happen.
  14. I'm wondering what we can realistically expect from Ryan. I suspect we're all expecting too much...
  15. I wasn't happy when they traded Corbitt. But getting Bruno in return.... Good deal! Good article!
  16. You forgot to mention that it always looked like he was having fun. That's what always struck me, dude was having fun playing baseball.
  17. US dollars, but Canadian taxes. That same deal (or less) would have netted him more take-home in Minnesota than it does Toronto
  18. They should have been worrying about this the minute Lewis got injured
