  1. One thing to keep in mind is how right-handed the Twins starting pitching is - might be a little less exposed in left.
  2. One thing to keep in mind is the uncertainty around the CBA, which expires next year. While I doubt it results in any major changes, it might make it harder to do something before 2017. One thing working for a deal is that Sano's agent (Rob Plummer) has bootstrapped his way. He also wants money sooner rather than later. I suspect they will both want to have the Twins guarantee his controlled years. Doubt they will sacrifice any years of FA.
  3. good recognition. he's 21. he is an elite defensive shortstop, the best in the twins system. my guess is that he will be a starting shortstop for someone in 3-4 years.
  4. Nice in several ways. Wonder what was troubling #12 in the first photo...
  5. This is one of the best articles I have read on Twins Daily. I was fascinated to see Hughes go with the high fastball for his strikeout pitch this past year.
  6. I would be very surprised the way they've handled Molitor if he isn't the next manager. You don't treat a hall-of-famer to multiple interviews and then name someone else. I would be shocked if Molitor allowed himself to be handled this way as well.
  7. I certainly have liked his knowledge of the strike zone. He is aggressive, often swinging at first pitch strikes.
  8. I felt watching him that: 1) his sinker was outstanding 2) the ball broke more than the umpire was expecting and he got screwed in ball/strike calling This was backed up by Inside Edge - Gibson was the fifth most-victimized pitcher in MLB in % of called strikes on pitches taken in-zone. (This was also explained by Parker - http://twinsdaily.com/entry.php/4458-Have-the-Twins-been-screwed-by-umpires) I don't know if the umps will start calling his strikes, but I am confident he will be a decent starter for the Twins.
