    Not worried yet but you are right that it is not a good start. Hopefully Buxton and Polanco just being cautious. Glad we have depth. Keep reading posters who want to trade Farmer or Kepler. Just say NO

    Polanco is not that good defensively and we have other players who can play 2B. It does make sense that he DH more

    Seems like many posters are overlooking that we do not have a DH this year. Gordon will get plenty of AB's as we rotate at DH. The acquisitions this spring should only reduce Gordon's Ab's versus left-handed pitching. Seems fine to me.

    Larnach goes to the minors if everyone is healthy, He will play everyday until needed. That leaves 13 hitters on the 26 man roster. Two catchers, Kiriloff, Polanco, Correa, Miranda, Kepler, Buxton, Gallo one of these will DH or play the field so a regular can DH - Farmer, Solano, Gordon, Taylor. Facing RH starter probably Gordon main DH Increases our depth and gives us more flexibility to pinch hit for Kiriloff and face lefty starters and play 1B when Kiriloff is hurt. If Kiriloff is out and Twins need a lefty bat they recall Larnach. These moves may be a reaction to the minor league we trotted out last September when we could have been in a pennant race. I think this move makes a lot of sense.

    Not only do I not want him. I do not think he will ever be as good as he was. I always felt he was a bit overrated.

    What about trying to resign Rogers now? Value has to be low and I agree with Doctor Gast that he was mismanaged in San Diego. He would pitch multiple days in a row and had several outings over 1 inning. Off season he should be refreshed. He is miscast as a closer but could still be a solid late inning reliever if you manage his usage.

    Isn't this the pitcher we were hoping to get from the Dodgers in the Dozier trade? It just took awhile to pick him up.

    Thanks for the article. You did a lot of research. You pointed out Jeffries versus the lefties and Vasquez versus righties makes sense. I am guessing that is how they convinced Vasquez that he will be the main guy. That and $30 million.

    Rogers gave up a run tonight. His is 3.86 also. He got his 28th save

    I like having Gordon on the team. If he is ever an everyday starter I think something has gone wrong.

    The bat is where there will be some bargains at the end. I would like to see them acquire two more SP. If they really have 33 million left they should have enough money. You know they won't spend much if they add a reliever or two.

    Saw him pitch in the College World series both years. He was not the same guy last year. I would have to see him pitch well this year before I would consider him.

    I agree about targeting Glasnow. Hope a pitcher or two develops this season and add Maeda and Glasnow for next year. Not sure about the rest. Don't know much about Walls,

    How about taking on Elvis Andrus contract along with a pitcher from Oakland. Andrus can start the year at SS and hope Lewis is ready by mid year. Either Andrus rebounds a bit or you have to replace him mid season. We need the pitching

    I agree that the Buxton contract made me feel a lot better about the off season. Not a lot of room on the 40 man roster for how many free agents we need to sign with the 48 Million. I do not see as many easily removable guys as most years. May have to trade a couple off the 40 man first.
