  1. Injuries, poor play, and let's face it Terry Francona vs Rocco. All other things being equal, who would you want running the the team? I would say it's more like 80-20.
  2. Not sure how much better this team is than either KC or Texas at this point. Just look at the results the last 71 games.
  3. Players don't need Rocco to shame them in public, the last 71 games(31-40) and most likely the rest of the season will shame them plenty.
  4. just hoping there isn't a total collapse, but that's where this is headed, considering everything. Time for some college football.
  5. 75-78 wins, not not much better than 2021, and we continue down a rebuild path. Unless everyone is healthy, next season could be a disaster.
  6. LOL, didn't expect anything different. Might as well lose now. I know it's only one game, but will Lopez turn into the pitcher he always was before this season?
  7. This pitching staff is not gonna cut it. The trades won't help as much as hoped. Other than the recent Detroit games, who has this staf shut down? And with this AAA lineup what a mess.
  8. You realize every player was a rookie at one time, right? This team is a mess, period. I'll be relieved to just get through the remainder of the season with no more serious injuries. Not even sure I care about wins and losses any more.
  9. Nice to see two solid wins. What is important now is to see more consistency. Obviously we won't win every game 9-1, and still need some pitching help, but this is a good start. I'm not always bitching and complaining, but the last 45 or so games has been frustrating as a fan.
  10. Yeah, cause that's more important than his first place team.
  11. This is just another example of Buxton's fragileness. Let's see how much he plays the 2nd half, and how effective he is. My guess is he will be the same or worse. Might as well get the surgery now.
  12. I'm sorry, why did he play in that BS worthless game? What the hell is wrong with him. Thanks for helping the team.
  13. We have seen the Sano story too many times. The minute he gets called up major league pitching/scouting will figure him out.
  14. What those teams had that the Twins don't? Pitching depth. While they were wild cards, all you have to do is look at the performance of the staffs. When was the last time the Twins had a staff that was remotely close to any of those teams you listed. 2006?
  15. agreed, and I think the term to use today is "quitters"
  16. It's going to be costly to acquire what is necessary to turn this around. Does the FO want to do this? They have alot to consider. Does what they do impact the chance that Correa stays? Can the Twins realistically afford a $35 million dollar player when they probably need to spend money to get the pitching righted. This goes beyond this season. If they know they need pitching, how much does his contract impact that ability? I personally think the FO is in a tough spot, and Correa's contract is a big part of it. If Lewis was healthy letting Correa go after this season might be the best option BUT, he is not. Unless the Pohlad's increase payroll, not sure we can get the pitching we need if Correa stays. If the Twins fail this season, the whole Correa signing may actually set the organization back rather than moving it forward. If Correa leaves, who plays the position next season? It seems the multiple knee injuries to Lewis, along with Correa's contract, may actually be a real problem fixing the pitching issue. What is everyone's thoughts?
  17. unless he aggravates the injury by playing, then it becomes a disaster
