  1. Not good enough. This team always has to have an automatic out in the lineup
  2. A message to the Twins crappy offense...wake up and hit this guy for God's sake
  3. Bundy can't afford to walk anyone, he hasn't had a stinker in awhile , but here comes one. Just cant string anything together as a team. This will be a sweep
  4. I can see this team going on another losing streak much more easily than winning streaks. They are just not good enough.
  5. They are going to have to score some runs to not get swept in this series. Beating the Giants means nothing as they are a bigger mess than the Twins
  6. Sox and good hitting teams will still feast on this pitching staff.
  7. Yes, but unless the trend over the last 80+ games changes, they won't win 82 games, more like 76-78. Not all the manager's fault, but I think his seat should be warm starting next season.
  8. And yet this team...ohh wait, I forgot the Twins aren't as good as Baltimore, and they suckered our FO to take their closer, who hasn't been real good since the trade.
  9. Anyone notice Baltimore is about to win their 2nd straight game in Houston?
  10. Since Cleveland has great starting pitching, I will not count on them collapsing. The Twins will have to have a good stretch at some point.
  11. This team wins 9-0 last night, but that's just one game. They seem incapable of following up. Just more of the same the last 80+ games. Sign of a not very good team, I think.
  12. Don’t think this team, as constructed has a turnaround in them
  13. If they are healthy I MIGHT agree, but looking at the lineup recently no chance against any decent teams. I’ll be happy if it’s not a total collapse. Both Boston and the Giants are no worse than the Twins. Look at Texas, worse than both and we saw how that turned out.
  14. Some mangers have a better "feel" for the game, and in general make better decisions. Guys like Francona, a younger Larussa, Joe Madden, and a few others. Rocco falls into the catagory of an average manager in my book, where most of the managers fall. He is OK, but roster management is always going to be a challenge for a mid-market team like the Twins. Unless they strike at rich with prospect development, mix in the right trades and FA signings, and above all have a moderate level of injuries(not the crap we've seen this season) this organization has very little chance of sustained success. Unless you have a manger like Francona who is good enough to overcome SOME of the shortcomings.
  15. Bottom line, like Rocco or not, they don't have a playoff caliber lineup right now. Probably won't until the start of next season(or a bit later in the season) His handling of the pitching staff however, is abysmal(might just be an organization decision)
  16. Larnach was hitting before his latest injury.(They continued to play hima AFTER he got hurt, and it showed). Kepler, like Sano, Polanco, and others have had a number of seasons to prove himself. He is now a dime a dozen OF and if the Twins could deal him just to free up money I would take that in a second. I think it's time to move forward(and away) from the Kepler generation of players.
  17. I was all in when he signed, but I am now not sure he is worth 35 million per year. I would think the Twins could use that money(and after the Sano buyout) to fill some other holes. It leaves a hole at SS, but frankly he hasn't earned that money in my book this season.
  18. Yes, but neither is good enough at this point. We are now 3 games back, and we keep losing ground. At the point when he returns it could very well be 5 or 6 games out.
  19. That ought to do it for tonight. Rest assured, the Astros are not done scoring
  20. No, with Sano on the shelf we need someone on the roster hitting under .100.
