  1. If the young guys improve some, and there is even league avg health, this is a good team, possibly really good. Count me in as very optimistic. I would like to see one more quality reliever. Maybe he is already on the 40 man. We'll see. Ohh, and sign Sano to a MINOR LEAGUE contract.
  2. Read that on MLB rumors regarding the Correa signing. How much higher will it go for 2023?
  3. We need someone to play against lefty's, but not Garlick. Not a fan, never was.
  4. I am grilling some crow as I type this. I assume the FO is not finished as you can never have enough pitching. We now have some trade chips and fully expect more move(s).
  5. Move farmer to 2nd, and let Gordon be super utility(both IF & OF). Work out a trade using Polanco and whoever else to get more pitching. Even if this team has league average health, they will win at least 85 games. Possibly more if some of the prospects develop. Let's hope for better health this season. The way things are now, I full expect some sort of trade.
  6. I say bring him in, and send him to AA. let him ride the bus for a year
  7. No, I'm just sick of what the sport has become. I won't pay a dime to watch a game on TV or go to a stadium to watch any pro sports except for the NHL. In fact, I don't watch baseball any longer, games are too long and the Twins are no longer competitive. But, I like sharing my thoughts...so that's what I do.
  8. This team will not be competitive for years..tell the Pohlads to keep their money and rebuild the farm system, and let the prospects play.
  9. It's nice how Boras uses the Twins FO like a puppet master. Doesn't say much for the people running this organization. I won't say how I feel about Boras(except he is bad for baseball). I wonder if any of the Twins pitchers would consider planting one in Correa's ribs when they play this season.
  10. Agreed, but our FO likes to trade for pitchers with injury risk. They seem to think they can get them on the cheap. That's worked well...LOL
  11. At his point I see no trades happening. I don't think the Twins have any healthy pieces that will bring back much.
  12. When is he going to play, and what position? We signed Gallo(LOL) thus taking at bats away from guys like Larnach. Just not sure what this organization is attempting to accomplish.
  13. They are going to have to start spending more money to complete. Same problem Cal had. I don't think the Pohlad's are good sports team owners. They are business people, but they are great owners based on 90's and early 2000's landscapes. They are out of their element based on how MLB is currently.
  14. This team is not as young as many seem to think. Most of our prospects are post 25...and injury prone. Intangibles...forget it. Not alot of quality depth in the bullpen. not a great inf defensively. Lot's of poor situational hitting...and baserunning...lol. Ohh, and the best player on the team will most likely spend 40-50% of the season injured. I'm calling for 85-90 losses. This organization is far from competing. We are 2-3 years away...at least. Need a few more bad seasons to rebuild the system. Forgot about the SP...average if healthy...below avg if injuries strike next season like last. I was really optimistic going into last season. Learned my lesson. This team is not going to be very good.
  15. Seem to be falling farther and farther behind the rest of the league. They don't need to have a 250m payroll, but if they can't even get to 150, then it becomes increasingly more difficult to compete. I feel like the Pohlads are becoming the Cal Griffin of the 2020's. Not there yet, but moving in that direction.
  16. just like Correa and Boras did last season.
  17. Base running mistakes is another symptom of a bigger problem with this organization...intangibles.
