  1. I remember the first time I visited Barcelona back in the early 90's. We were at this little outdoor bar located in a larger square, probably got there around 10:00pm or so and it was pretty dead. It fascinated me as I sat there over the next few hours as it became increasingly busier and busier. By the time 2:00am rolled around and I was ready to stumble back to my apartment, everyone else was just heading out for the night. I still remember waking up at around 6:30am and hearing people as they staggered home.
  2. I love how a guy (in his 20's) being out until 3am is such a nefarious thing. Good lord, people in Europe and many other parts of the world don't even get started until about 2:00am. The DR isn't a whole lot different. 3:00am might be viewed as some ungodly hour in North America, a time where only trouble can occur, but it's not everywhere. Sano may have done something colossally stupid, but just because it was 3:00am doesn't necessarily make it more likely.
  3. Yes, and most cars have windshields as well, yet somehow that doesn't stop people from crashing into things.
  4. Yes I do realize that, thanks. Short term gain, they made the playoffs but I don't believe Santana or not this team was going to be close to pushing the Yankees anywhere. They had a good run but were a pretender by most measures. Like I said, I get why they didn't do it.
  5. You really have to be impressed at the type of player Dozier made himself into. 24 WAR in the time he was here for an 8th round pick is pretty good. Once he moved from SS to 2B he never looked back. Man he was a crappy SS.
  6. At this point it's a good move and a decent get for Dozier. Raley is worth more than banking on Dozier getting a 50 mil deal, one in the hand is worth 2 in the bush as they say. Forsythe won't be around long imo, just long enough for some Seinfeld jokes in a GT. At the end of the day, and without trying to be Capt Hindsight, Dozier really should have been traded at the deadline last season, given his age, contract status and the year he was having. There was no way his value was going higher. I understand the reasons they didnt, but they should have anyway.
  7. It's embarrassing to both Hughes and the Twins that they keep trotting him out there. It's over fellas, deal with it.
  8. Unlikely to repeat itself. I'll take the odds of improving at home and being average on the road.
  9. i'm guessing there is always a reasonable amount of uncertainty towards any player that's had a titanium rod inserted into their leg during the off season, although I think 8 AB's and a handful of games in March is a bit too early to be concerned about it much.
  10. I don't understand why this a big deal. Didn't everyone already know Dozier was a FA next season? Would be nice to have Dozier back, no need to overpay though.
  11. Lol, who cares about pitches that don't hurt us at this point. Get over it.
  12. I was talking about the 2nd inning ffs. Keep beating a dead horse if you like.
