  1. My bad Craig. I should have been more attentive ?
  2. When you are determining who to trade, you have to trade high. So right now it'd be #1 Arraez, he's not getting any higher in trade value & he's dispensable. #2 Jeffers, his trade value has been steadily dropping we should trade him before he's worthless. He's not our future & we have no one in our system. We have to trade for a legit MLB ready catcher prospect. PIT has 2, E Rodriguez would be a great option. #3 Wallner, He doesn't have much more upside. We have a glut of corner OF lefty bat/ 1B/ DH. I don't see him much more than DH. #4 Gallo, a mistake that should be resolved as soon as he's available. #5 Kepler, he shouldn't be included in a trade right away unless it's for a comeback candidate like himself (Montas or Marquez) otherwise hold onto him until his value return to normal. We extend Gray, we keep Gordon (because he's too valuable to us), we keep Farmer until Lewis is 100%. If we need a 40 man spot, trade Pagan. Larnach & Kiriloff trade value is low, hold unto them.
  3. Cruz had some down stats after he left the Twins so automatically he's washed up? Here is good example of throwing those stupid stats out the window. The guy had problems with his eyes, give him a break, Now he's got them fixed, so he's ready to go. Cruz thrives here, so why didn't they bring him back? Cruz knows his body, if he's staying around because he can still contribute. Everybody knows what he had brought to the club, he still can. We desperately need someone who can hit lefties and he can hit righties as well. He's a great fit & I miss him. If he can't go the full season, fine we have Arraez & others to fill in. I agree with Argo that Cruz would make a great coach, he could double as one as he plays & after. We missed a great low risk opportunity
  4. It was a nice play but IMO it doesn't come close to the impact on the leg that Lewis experienced when he made that catch and that many good OFers make regularly.
  5. Just because you want something to be so, doesn't mean it actually is. Just because you think that it'd be convenient to have Lewis play OF doesn't mean that you can ignore the good possibility that he could very likely get seriously hurt. Running full blast, leaping and coming down at that angle on that leg regularly, you can count on something will happen to someone who has had 2 knee surgeries. Why risk it? You may know absolutely nothing about electricity. But if you put your finger in a electric outlet & get a jolt. Even though you know nothing about electricity, you have the common sense to not to do it again.
  6. Agree with you Weitz, although Julien is questionable at 2B (not that he can't grow into that position) he's better profiled at 1B.
  7. INF is much different than INF. The trajectory & velocity of a ball where you run & jump like that in the INF, I don't think is possible. Any flyballs to the OF that INFers handle are bloopers. Also Lewis wasn't put in the OF was because we lacked bodies. At that time we had ample amount of capable OFers. Immediately after Lewis went down, Miranda was brought in to help out at 3B/ 1B. That should have been the role of Lewis plus he could have subbed also at SS & 2B w/o needing to go to the OF to get his ABs. I'm not an expert in this kind of sports medicine. But I have this gut feeling like you get when you are exposed to a dangerous condition that something bad is going to happen. And the fact he got hurt so quickly proves to me that it wasn't a fluke. That it was a rational outcome of a proposed situation
  8. Great idea Glunn! I've thought the same thing, surprized that why more hasn't been done pertaining to this. How safe was that old baggy wall in the Metrodome?
  9. The only trade with the Yankees that I'd like is one that'd included Montas, that's it. And IDK if the Yankees would be open for that. Odds are we won't get what Kepler is worth.
  10. I was impressed with everybody but especially Joe. It was great to see ownership this involved with the team. I could feel his excitement.
  11. I expect that no one will pick him up and I wouldn't be surprised if he circle back to the Twins.
  12. 2023- there is no rush Martin & Lee aren't on the 40 man and Lewis will need time to get his legs under him in AAA. After that he can take over the INF utility role and we can trade Farmer. 2024- Polanco is traded, Lewis is at 2B, Lee is platoon 3B/ INF utility, Miranda platoon 3B/ 1B and Martin is OF utility. I love the fact besides that Lee's so athletic is also that he is a switch hitter that'll be very valuable to Twins especially if we trade Polanco. Martin's stock went way down when they try to tinker with his swing. After he ditched that idea he started to take off again. Absolutely don't trade him now! I can't stress enough Don't Put Lewis in The OF! I was completely against it after his 1st surgery, but after his 2nd I'm venomously against it. After continually watching Lewis's CF accident on TD, I realized that he didn't hurt his knee crashing into the wall. He hurt it by running full blast then leaping to catch the ball and as he came down on that leg that's when he hurt his knee. How can Lewis not run full blast & jump to catch a ball & be in the OF w/o getting hurt? Losing Lewis over 2 1/2 years due to these accidents is an absolute shame. Losing Lewis for good is a down right tragic & absurd. Right now we are thin at 3B, 2B & SS but have a tremendous glut at the corner OF/ 1B/ OF positions. Julien also will fall in this category, making Arraez the most sense to trade because he's at his peak value and he's redundant.
  13. Correa signing has plugged the black hole at 2B,3B & SS. Now we can have Farmer to cover any hiccups there. Spring training will be very interesting for the OF. My eyes are on Larnach & Kiriloff to see how they've recovered. I also see Celestino start out at AAA. Correa signing will spark needed trades so the this roster could be very different.
  14. I'm ecstatic about bringing back Correa, I'm a big fan of his. Also very relieved that we have filled that big chasm in the INF, that I was very concerned about how they were going about to fill it. My concern is FO's lack of concern over certain medical reports. If they really want someone they tend to ignore them; Dwyer, Paddack & Mahle are examples. Paddack was rejected by NYM because of his medicals. But MN ignored them. Correa has failed both SF & NYM physicals. Could there be something new to indicate that there is a problem that wasn't obvious before? If I had to trust between NYM doctors to MN doctors at this point I'd have to trust the NYM doctors. I hope to God that Correa will play 6 yrs of All-Star SS for MN & help us win at least a post season game. Correa saved Flavine's butt last off season, is he betting that he'll do the the same this season w/o really checking his health? I think that'd be very irresponsible. They need to check very closely if that ankle could change to be a threat to Correa's lasting playing time. Hope doesn't cut it.
  15. IMO defense, hitting, scruples & class do matter. More than most people give them credit for. Comparing Hunter to these steroids addicts like Barry Bonds is not fair. During this era we look at Hunter & say he's really good but he's no Barry Bonds. He's no Barry Bonds because he didn't take steroids. In an era where steroids were very prevalent, It'd be very easy to yield to that temptation. Hunter chose to not go down that road and that should count for something. He has my vote.
  16. I agree with you Ritchie that the courts are different than corporate rules. Courts are where the defendants are innocent until proven guilty. Where investigations by law are non bias, only proven facts are allowed, hearsay is not allowed and those who lie for any reason are punished. Corporate rules are controlled by corporate. Unions might have some say on the matter depending on how strong they are. But now days, it's not very much. If they want you guilty you are guilty, no matter how innocent you are. Investigations are ran by them where they get to choose the information they want, whether it's hearsay or not. Corporate is the judge, jury & executer, They don't have to reveal their findings. And those who lie are not necessarily responsible for their actions. They need not be punished & in some cases rewarded. Bauer was not convicted in court on Domestic Violence, Many MLB players who have been convicted in court have had much lighter suspensions than Bauer. IMO Bauer's domesic violence suspension was excessive and a panel of MLB, Union & Independent arbitrators (mitigated a compromise that immediately halted the suspension) thought the same. There is no secret about Manfred's feelings towards Bauer and that he'd like Bauer permanently out of MLB. I'm not a fan of Bauer & I'm not advocating for him. I'm advocating for justice.
  17. What I saw wasn't reported hearsay but actual survey & fans chatting in. The podcast is a strictly fan based ran by unbias hosts. Social media is exactly where I don't want to go to get any truth. Social media is a breeding ground for anyone with an agenda to spread their propaganda. W/o any discernment people believe their propaganda as truth and it spreads like cancer. Like I stated before I'm not a fan of Bauer, he acts like he has a big chip on his shoulder. But I want to be open to the real truth and from there make an assumption. Now days people aren't taught to rationalize anything just believe what they are told. You can try to rationalize with them but they still want to believe the hearsay.
  18. I was completely against the Twins taking on Paddack, knowing full well that NYM rejected him because of the medicals & also receiving the same medicals & knowing his history. I don't have the same hesitancy with Correa but I'm concerned about this FO lack of concern about such things. Also maybe it was the reason HOU didn't sign him. But we have him for 6yrs. with his prime ahead of him. Go Twins!
  19. The big difference last year wasn't the players it was the health management. Hopefully Pararesta can influence management to change their way to focus on keeping our players fresh & healthy throughout the season & into the post season. Some of it was bad luck but I predict that will change. Our BP and catching are much better. With Correa & Buxton up the middle it provides great structure to work from. Get a front line SP & we're set.
  20. Always thought we had a chance but I didn't think it quite turn out this way. I didn't think he'd go this low on years. It makes me wonder what the Mets offered him. It must have gotten a little nasty. It seems a trade w/ MIA is eminent. Hope they make a good trade. There for a long time I've watched the video on Lewis getting hurt. I always thought he hurt his knee running into the wall. But as I watched it more closely, it appears to me that after was running full blast he jumped up & when he landed on that leg before he hit the wall he actually hurt his knee. I was a big advocate to keep Lewis out of the OF especially CF after his 1st surgery. But now I'm even more venomous because how can you keep a player like Lewis from running full blast & jump for a ball in the OF? You can't, so put him in SS or 3B & give him time at 2B & 1B while he gets his feet under him at AAA. For God sake keep him out of the OF!
  21. I haven't heard anything yet but it makes as much sense as signing Gallo. You have to think a MIA trade is going down, somewhere. Hopefully w/ MN.
