  1. I agree as well that the defense is the most alarming/depressing. I would hope that they are working extra hard on fielding in the next couple of weeks in addition to be open to changes in personnel. If there is not skill maybe a little will can help.
  2. I don't know if we need to speed up play as much as eliminate useless dead time. My 2 biggest annoyances: 1) Batters should not get to step out of the box and re-adjust after every pitch. 2) pitching changes - why should relievers get 8-10 warm up pitches? Maximum of 2 or none would be fine with me. Does a pinch-hitter get some warm-up batting practice? I don't think we should ever have a clock in baseball although I can see it as a trial in minors for a year to get a behavior change.
  3. Seth, thanks for this post and supplying the backup information. I have written in my letter. Tony was my first favorite Twin player growing up and he remains my all-time favorite Twin. Since I was left-handed I copied his batting stance - unfortunately I did not have the same success he did - ha! I can acknowledge he is borderline at best Baseball Hall of Fame but I am hoping his lifetime contributions to baseball and his character and integrity push him over the line.
  4. Great site with a lot of knowledgable insight to the team. Being from Texas this is a great way for me to keep up with the team and the minors. One of my favorite reads is when Parker breaks down the difference in mechanics for a player with the videos - subtle things that I would never catch because I don't get to watch them play much. The other item I enjoy is the minor league daily updates. What i really like is when we have a writer from each minor league town that writes a more qualitative view of what they see in the club. This may very well exist already on the site and I haven't looked closely enough or they are not grouped together but if we had a writer from each minor league town that watches their team play provide a weekly update - I would find that a must read.
  5. Are you sure it wasn't Nishioka that put the hit on you? Oh that's right - he couldn't hit anything over here in the US.
  6. Always a possibility. I live down here in Arlington so I hear all the Ranger news. Latest discussions are of bringing Profar up to play 2B and moving Kinsler to 1B so that may pre-empt that trade from occuring. But they have also talked of moving Kinsler to the OF depending on if they don't sign Hamilton which could re-open the Morneau possibility. Given our current state, I would prefer us to keep Morneau until mid-season and then evaluate trade possibilities.
