  1. Stewart: "He has ranked as high as #9 in previous Twins Daily Top Prospect rankings and he continues to rise up the ranks...…" Well...now he has "fallen" into the honorable mention category. His minor league numbers just don't translate to the majors. I could see him not being in the Twins system by the end of the year. Not going to hold my breath waiting for the new coaching staff to finally turn him around. Maybe a season of Castro "framing" his pitches will make him an all star! (Hey...got two shots in …..on the same post!)
  2. I hope the front office doesn't botch things with Tyler Austin like they did with Daniel Palka. Guess who is a left handed power hitter that the Twin's front office let go last year and immediately led the White Sox in home runs last year with 100 fewer at bats than the next closest guy? Yup.....Palka! (Palka does have some flaws...but left handed power hitter who is only 27 years old.......)
  3. There is nothing in Stewart's minor league career that would suggest that he could be anything more than an AAAA player. If it were as easy as turning on the analytic "button," I think it probably would have been done by now. I would love to see him magically turn things around after 5-6 years into it.....but I am not holding my breath.
  4. Tom's write up says he bats left handed....the photo has him batting right handed. Switch hitter??
  5. Agree! Front office will drop the ball on Austin like they did with Daniel Palka last year. Guess who led the White Sox in home runs last year.....and he didn't even start the season in the big leagues?
  6. "Add in improvements from Kepler and Castro?" A better option would be if Castro couldn't come back from his injury. A .225 batting average and 11 hrs is his ceiling for 2019....but at least he can frame a pitch! Terrible signing originally ......and will continue to be a problem in 2019. I am hoping "sunk cost" is a term Falvey is considering with Castro!
