  1. I see your optimism is just bubbling over. Season not started yet and declaring us sellers already..
  2. So no to trading Rodgers no matter who he brings in return. That's a hard line.
  3. I agree Miller handled himself very well down in Florida. I see him sticking at short. He acted as a leader already on the back fields during spring.
  4. I am a Homer in South Carolina. That being said, I see great things for this ball club. After speaking with many coaches and players, I don't take this desire to win this year as just coach speak. Could be a special year folks.
  5. Really good dude. Got the opportunity to chat with him in Florida as he gave some interesting info while wearing his flip flops. Definitely cheering for him.
  6. How or what are you looking at when you say Gray hasn't had a decent season for 5 years.
  7. Many of the young players from the Dominican Republic not mentioned looked like the real deal in spring training. Watching some of the Low A and high A spring training showed more than a few players that have big league potential written all over them. It's amaizing watching some of these kids stand and play head and shoulders over there counterparts. Quite a few kids not mentioned in our top prospect ratings will be household names for Twins fans in the next year or 2.
  8. I hope also. I honestly see 85 wins. I guess we shall see who's prediction is correct in about 6 months my friend.
  9. Is there a upper level left fielder left available to sign? Curious who you might have considered as still possible.
  10. How is it a vast overpay for Correa...but then question why no other team would do the "Correa thing"
  11. 71 Strikeouts in 42 inning for Sean Mooney. I guess he is someone to definitely watch. That is a great first year.
  12. I like the idea of batting Arreaz in the 4 spot. Who else could protect Carlos to start the season? At least untill Alex is up to the task, which maybe soon but probably not to start.
  13. He was hurt almost the entire time he was here. I get your point, but noway we could have protected him from the rule V draft a few years ago.
  14. It would be great if he continues to hit and becomes above serviceable in RF. I know this is alot of ifs, but I believe he will hit and hit very well. Would be great if he pushed Kepler into a 4th OF role, defensive replacement. Ok...there I said it
  15. Martin is way to advanced as a batter to start at AA. I disagree starring him there would not be ideal for him as a prospect.
  16. The biggest thing I can add and takeaway from my stay here. 1. Many and I mean Many adjustments being done on the fly by the players. Not saying it's a bad thing, as I sence an urgency more than the past. Definitely not as structured as in the past, I'm sure do to condensed schedule. 2. Very positive vibe, players are busting there tail ends off. Everyone looks like they are more trying to "catch up" for lack of a better term. Many major league players are jumping in on A, or AA to get timing down and work in. 3. Carlos Correa looks as advertised and seems to be taking a large leadership role.
  17. I truly see the development happening. I also see the growth in him, as I have watched him pitch in multiple spring training workouts and games over the years. I believe we will be more than pleasantly surprised by his success and a few others. I may take heat for this , but from my view we will have a top ten rotation in the AL. I know we need more, so hoping we squeeze out some extra. From everything I've seen down here past few weeks...do not sell this team short! Another move would be great but excitement should be building. Just saying hop on this hype train now before it's to late
  18. Meanwhile on the back fields, Correa took very competitive batting practice from Alcala. Was very impressive from both. What struck me most was how they sat and talked pitches and sequences for over 20 minutes after. Great day at the fort.
  19. Was great to see Correa taking live competitive bp from Alcala today on a bak field. Then him and Alcala talked pitches and sequencing for 20 + minutes
  20. Love all the...oh no the sky is falling...oh wait was just a rain drop
  21. Sanchez was added to the roster to help facilitate the Donaldson trade. Also he is our back up cather as of now.
  22. I'd like to go on record as saying...no worry about our dh. Our combined DH starts will be better than what Cruz puts up this year. My opinion! But feel strongly 1 or2 guys will take it and run with it
  23. Quick question Mathew. I see Gordon has graduated...all good. But it shows as he was the 37th ranked prospect in 2021 according to this. Maybe a typo? I know he's mainly a utility type guy that plays a few different positions and is still young, but there is no way we have 36 other prospects in our system that will have a better career than Gordon...even if it's just a couple of years. But I need to ask please, who thought he was our 37th ranked prospect in our system in 2021? Is this a typo or do you believe there are 36 players in our system whom are better and will make the major league ball club? That's a heck of a farm system if true.
