  1. At least maybe now Cotton can stay on the 40-man
  2. At this point, the I feel the optimal rotation should be.... Ryan (COVID notwithstanding) Gray Ober Smeltzer Archer/Bundy combo
  3. Imagine using your best hitter to pinch hit on a day off in a crucial moment in the game with runners in scoring position....?‍♂️
  4. I thought Kyle Garlick was the new Jake Cave.....
  5. So I must have missed this somewhere, but what was the impetus for making Gant a starter? Is it basically just an experiment since the season is shot anyway?
  6. I have ZERO issues with Donaldson. This team has needed someone to light a fire under their proverbial asses for some time....unfortunately, this particular team is a 9th Ward hoarder's house during Hurricane Katrina. Delmon Young has to be near the top of any list of unlikeable Twins.
  7. Because this is the way sports work in Minnesota. If the Twins trade Buxton, he will rarely see the IL again and become David Ortiz 2.0.
  8. I'd have to imagine Ian Hamilton and Danny Coulombe will be the next bullpen retreads to take the Green Line over.....
  9. Would he be worth a shot in the bullpen? Or is he more suited to starting since he doesn't throw gas?
  10. I'm really curious to see how Ober does today... He seems like a good option for some bullpen help.
  11. He's also the guy in your local golf league who has an $8,000 set of clubs, but can't hit the ball in the air. He also likes to tell everyone he has an $8,000 set of clubs.
  12. His lack of speed in the OF definitely contributed to Gibson's "meltdown" inning.
  13. The way Jax has been pitching (and the fact that he's 24), it seems like he's got to be next in line for promotion to AAA.
  14. I'm beginning to wonder what Pineda might look like out of the bullpen, where he could just "let it fly" for an inning. Obviously not in a high leverage situation at this point, but maybe you flip-flop Mejia and Pineda and see what happens in that 5th spot. Heck, in that 5th spot, run one of them out there for 3-4 innings, then send the other out there for the next 2 or 3 innings and see what happens.
  15. Shouldn't he stay in Rochester after the 20 days (activated....then sent down) until he can at least hit AAA pitching with some consistency?
  16. Please tell me the Milwaukee team is going to be called the Beers....
  17. Thanks James Andrews.... (In Meatsauce voice) Seriously though, this is really interesting!!
  18. Based on his stuff, and his temperament, this is our future ace. The potential of a Romero-Berrios-Gonsalves front end has me salivating like, well, me in front of a two pound brisket.
