  1. "Trevor Larnach joined Kirilloff sooner than expected, but it’s hard to pick apart much of what he’s done this season. Even while slumping of late, the 24-year-old owns a .322 OBP and has shown plenty of power potential. He’ll run into more baseballs as his career progresses, and the discipline in the box has been a sight to behold." Huh? Sometimes he looks, almost, as lost as Sano at the plate.
  2. Again, if the Twins can't do 5/80 (12, 14, 16, 18, 20) for both Berrios and Buxton, they might as well close up shop.
  3. I agree and there isn't a player on the entire team that isn't considered a trade asset. No superstars on this roster, for sure.
  4. This team misses James Rowson ... in a big way. Pretty much every player has started getting back to those sloppy and loopy swings that Bruno taught them.
  5. I don't believe he has HoF numbers, but one-and-done is ludicrous. While he never had the career of Pedro Martinez, Johan's 7-year run, 2002-2008, is somewhat comparable to Pedro's 1997-2003 run. Unfortunately, in his shortened career, with a not as great team, Johan had a few really bad post-season starts where the team needed him to dominate and he did not.
  6. I still don't think the starting pitching is high-level. Not sold on Berrios being anything more than a 15-win, 3.75 ERA pitcher. I hope I wrong, but we'll see.
  7. Maybe the Sox went 5/120 and he still went with the Phillies. I bet the Twins, like many teams were in the 5/90 - 5/100 range. Not that it would ever happen, or that it should happen, but if the Twins (or any team) offered 5/140-150, his wife would have been okay with it. Take the "wife" stuff in context and with a grain of salt.
  8. Sure. That and the 5/118 that the Phillies gave him. Rumor has it that only the White Sox offered more.
  9. I think teams are driving up the price. 5/120 would be paying way too much, but it seems as though a number of team are past the 5/100 mark.
  10. I disagree. I used to hang with a bunch of wrestlers and boxers that used them to make weight.
  11. After Molitor's 2018 post-spring training shenanigans, LaMarre has turned baseball on it's side - one heroic feat after another. Quite possibly, he could be that "missing piece" that propels this team to a title!
  12. My mom suffered from Colitis for many years, as well as Crohn's Disease. I wish Gibson the best ... it was not easy for my mom, but today's treatments are much improved. Nonetheless, it could be a huge change in lifestyle for him ... depending on the severity.
  13. Have you ever tried to hit a "good slider?" Most MLB hitters cannot. That said, I agree with much of what you've been posting and think that Twins fans tend to want to believe every player will be great.
  14. Cron is maybe better than last year's failure, LoMo, but not by much.
  15. Sadly enough - despite Mauer's imminent departure, first base should be pretty far down the list of priorities.
  16. The NYY minor league system is some kind of awesome! They keep dumping talent and they're still loaded!
  17. He does give up some bb's that are caught and some rips being fouled straight back. Plain and simple, he has not been good and when he has been, it's more luck than that of a solid performance.
