Could have rotated Adrianza and Esco at 2nd. Leadoff hitter is a little overrated, in my opinion. There are many leadoff hitters in a game, not just the 1st inning.
That's fine. I would have traded him this offseason. I have zero faith in him when runners are on base. He swings at crappy pitches at almost the same rate as Rosario. He plays good defense and hits dingers (with no one on base) but he takes A TON of really piss poor at bats.
I may be in the minority, but I dislike Dozier. Man, he is just a bummer at the plate. I don't really care about his home runs. Not clutch at all, tries to pull everything, and just a bit overrated.
I for one am a little fed up with this Adrianza in left for almost every lefty pitcher. If you're not going to play Kepler, at least put Granite in there...
Tanaka has a 4.73 ERA. Severino has pitched less than 40 games in the majors. Their lineup is not that deep. Bullpen is really good. But they do not even come close to posting the lineup of the Astros or the Indians. Cleveland has a better starting rotation and just as good of a bullpen. I stand by my assertion that the Yanks have no chance to get to the World Series... agree to disagree I guess.
Front rotation? A rookie and a guy with forearm issues with a plus 4.70 era? These guys don't hit outside of Yankee Stadium. They have only won two series against the Red Sox and split a series with the Indians. Indians are the team to beat... I'll give you Gray and their bullpen... but their lineup is a product of Yankee stadium. But you know... that's like only your opinion, man.
