With the Florida Complex League action being rained out today, the only affiliate in action was the Minnesota Twins Dominican Summer League team. Ronald Acuna Jr.’s brother got in on the action, and there were more notable performances from the plate than the mound.

No longer leading the American League Central division, the Minnesota Twins are now faced with an uphill battle to get back into postseason contention. Ultimately, the deck may be stacked in their favor, but it’d require them to actually take advantage.

Early in the offseason, the Twins will have three contract decisions to make with some of the team’s prominent players. So, which will be picked up, and who are likely to become free agents?

A road trip to the West Coast only brought more despair for a team that is in a very bad way.

After holding first place for much of the season, the Minnesota Twins now find themselves looking up in the standings and unable to stop the bleeding.

After an awful walk off loss on Saturday night, the Twins went into their series finale against the Angels on a mission to regroup and prove to themselves they are still a playoff contending team. That mission failed as the Twins dropped their second series of a five-game road trip returning home with only one win. 

The Twins lack of insurance runs ended up being their demise. The Angels picked at the pitching until it fell apart and what was a shutout into the eighth inning for the Twins, ended in disaster. 

The Twins Injured List continues to grow as the season rolls on as they’re now missing several important contributors who hopefully haven’t made their last marks on this 2022 Twins team. Some absences however weigh a bit heavier than others.

A big part of run-scoring is hitting with runners in scoring position. Which hitters have been doing damage in big spots and which have been filling up on empty calories?

Well, that was pleasant. 

The Twins dropped to second place for the first time since June, but the team is having a call to action. With 52 games to go, it's time to band together and enjoy the ride of the 2022 season.

A drubbing by the Dodgers in L.A. felt like enough to wipe away the positive vibes for the Twins after a competitive split with the Blue Jays at Target Field. It wasn’t just the two-game set at Dodger Stadium that brought us here, though. This low point has been building for weeks.

As the throw sails towards first base, back in a 53” semi-trailer sitting behind Target Field, Chris Tveitbakk opens up the first base microphone by sliding up a fader on his audio board labeled “1st.” The satisfying pop of the ball hitting Jose Miranda’s glove sounds over televisions across Twins Territory.
