Chris Paddack has agreed to a contract extension with the Minnesota Twins that will keep him pitching for the Twins through the 2025 season. The three-year contract will delay Paddack becoming a free agent by one-year.

Today was the deadline for the Minnesota Twins to sign arbitration-eligible players to contracts for the upcoming 2023 Major League Baseball season. Should the sides not be able to reach a resolution after exchanging official numbers, they would then be subject to an arbitration hearing at a later date.

In 2022, Jovani Moran was sneaky good despite getting yo-yoed between levels. So good in fact, that looking back, it seems like Moran should have earned a more consistent role. That should change in 2023.

Earlier this offseason, the Minnesota Twins were reported to be in contact with the Miami Marlins regarding pitching help. Those talks have since cooled, but a pivot to another arm from South Beach may make sense as they look for starting pitching talent.
