Things to think about:

1. Think about Andrew Albers... Hey... Look... Someone New to look at... He's a great story... He's paid his dues and now he gets his MLB Debut... I imagine he didn't sleep much last night... However... He is Canadian and those guys don't sleep so he's probably used to that.

2. Think about James Shields... What a pitcher to debut against... I'm sure there is a part of Albers that was wishing for a matchup against Wade Davis.

3. Think about the Streaking Hot Royals... What a team to debut against... There has to be a part of Albers that was wishing for a matchup against the Astros instead.

4. Think about Colabello... He's in RF today... Herrmann is catching... I would imagine because he has caught Albers before. That puts Mauer at 1B and Morneau at DH... So... If Colabello is going to play... It's RF.

5. Think about the Left Field Stands... Or the Right Field stands... Many people sit and watch a game from the stands. More people sitting than standing yet they are called stands.

If Albers is worth his salt, he dreams of shutting out the opposition in his debut, or maybe giving up a scratch run. So beating Shields 2-1 with some luck and being the talk of SportsCenter for the next 24-hour cycle is just a simple extension of that determination. May his dream come true.

Not to mention "bleachers" - has anybody ever seen any laundry actually being done in them?

Ouch! Diamond pitching for Rochester in the bottom of the 2nd.

  • Mike Fontenot walks.
  • Chris Gimenez walks. Mike Fontenot to 2nd.
  • Evan Frey walks. Mike Fontenot to 3rd. Chris Gimenez to 2nd.
  • Craig Albernaz hits a grand slam (1) to left field. Mike Fontenot scores. Chris Gimenez scores. Evan Frey scores.

It could be worse...he could still be pitching in Minnesota.

Good luck to Albers! Not many people get to say they were major league ball players, even for just one night. I hope he can stay in the moment, and I hope it's the first of many successful outings for him with the Twins.

I blame Doumit's pitch framing.

It looks like Plouffe is in Gardy's doghouse ... or was he hurt on that fall into the stands last night ! A MLB channel commentator was worried that spikes might hurt a fan !

Gardy said he just needed a break- he's 6 for his last 54, got picked off because he's thinking too much, just frustrated and needs a game off. The fall last night was hard on him too. The interview's on the team page at mlb.com Slumping Plouffe...

Soooooooo...Do I sit here, watch the game and enjoy the witty banter, or should I go the the block party with my scantily clad neighbor lady?

Post pictures of the neighbor lady and we'll render a judgment on that.

That depends. Can you post a picture of the lady, so we can make a proper evaluation?

Edit: Oops! Came in second that time.

You know you'd rather go see your scantily-clad neighbor lady.

My choice was to watch the game, enjoy the banter or pay to go and boo A-Roid at the White Sox game. I chose here.

Great minds not only think alike, they use evidence rather than make uninformed decisions!

Wait...it's ok if you go with the neighbor lady to the party, but her husband would object to a pic?
