I have Arenado and Middlebrooks on my Fantasy team... Plouffe is available on waivers. I have room for two 3B.

Advice?

Longoria.

I agree... He should've been facing fastballs 3-0. One bad swing changed it all.

Well, if you want to take the bat out of a rookie's hands at 2-0, not a bad choice BTW, you aren't going to give him the green light on 3-0 are you? Maybe not even on 3-1, with the bases loaded?

(Then again, it's Hicks to follow.)

Nope... Red Light 3-0... Green Light 3-1.

If you trust him on 3-1, then you might trust him on 2-0. I doubt he was given the Swing At Anything signal - they trusted him and he went fishing. Could just as well have happened on 3-1 then.

When it comes to post counts... Now that I think about it... Forget Chief and Ashbury... I'd be happy if I can keep my post count higher than Andrew Bailey days on the disabled list.

I think Hicks started back on that

Yeah, the word for the past year was his glove was MLB-ready, it was the bat that was questionable. Turns out there's questions on both for now.

I'd give him the Green Light 2-0... I just don't want him swinging at a slider in the dirt 2-0. He took the same pitch two pitchers earlier.

Besides 2-0.. That is when you can be picky. Look for your pitch... Not a low hard slider. Nobody likes low hard sliders.

Arcia and Hicks both introduced to baseball's most legendary stadium with the bases loaded against the reigning AL pitcher of the month. Hard to hold the strikeouts against them; nothing can prepare you for that.

The good news is that they're getting all these experiences out of the way now.

I was gonna ask if I was the only one who's been somewhat disappointed with his defense so far this year. I guess not.

That called third strike on Dozier was a joke. The ball looked a couple inches outside.

I'm not sure if Hicks broke back, but whatever happened he definitely did not get a good break on that ball.

Yep, next year we put up a 5 spot in that inning. Arcia still should have had a better at bat though

Warm tingle down by spine after reading that. It's true... each game, at-bat or play in the field is a chance to put something in the piggy bank.

I still say Buchholz was trying to walk Arcia there. Arcia had him by the -----... Rookie mistake letting Buchholz off the mat.

Even with a talented rookie, you're going to get some of that. (Or talented veterans, for that matter.) I misunderstood your comment to not swing at 2-0.

Well, I'm only going on people's recounting of the plays; looking forward to whenever the Twins come to Oakland so I can watch in person.
