This is the first I've ever thought of it, but I'm shocked more people haven't changed their last name to Vader.  A quick google search shows less than 1 in 500,000 people in the world have the last name Vader, with 77% of them living in, of all places, Asia.

Why?

What would an "own goal" look like in baseball?

Remember that Javy Baez play from a few weeks ago, the one where he let the first baseman chase him all the way down the line?  Like that, except that the first baseman got the ball back, and then chased Baez all around the bases refusing to throw the ball to any other player.

I know In Vader. Turns up in the oddest places.

Typical Twins scenario:  Runner on first, no one out.  Batter hits a fly ball  out to left field.   Something wrong with this picture?

Yeah, contact was actually made.

If donaldson had run to Ace hardware , bought a wheelbarrow, brought it to Busch, put Astudillo in it, he would have had a better chance to score, than Astudillo running on his own.

At first I thought you meant Donaldson was bringing a wheelbarrow full of Busch

Are not they rookies?

But they have been here for weeks; if this is what they do next year, it will be a long, long year.

Why did Astudillo get sent down and not one of them?

You're gonna have to contact the Twins FO on that.  I could speculate, but it would be treated like a troll.

Those two are the potential future cornerstones of the franchise and Astudillo is a borderline major leaguer.  It makes far more sense to give everyday at bats to those guys and not Astudillo.

I am interested to see how the bullpen is used without Rogers and Robles... with Duffey getting used now, that leaves Colome and Thielbar for the late innings. Maybe Columbe gets a chance? Or even Gant?

They are supposed learn and show their stuff in the minors, not be low average batters in the big show.

They did, hence their call up.  They've got to learn at the major league level at some point.

Then the Twins should have picked up another veteran today as they are not ready for the big league unless more Sano style batting style is what the Twins want.

They've got nothing left to prove in the minors.  Expecting rookies to not have growing pains is unrealistic.  They've got to learn at this level, just like everyone else.
