Minnesota Wild

7 games for Cooke, for a non headshot that's pretty stiff by NHL standards, considering it pales in comparison to Seabrook's shot on Backes which only netted 3 games.

Completely deserved mind you.

I completely agree. I also wonder why Lucic didn't get suspended for his second junk-spearing incident in a matter of weeks.

Bye bye St. Louis, amazing how the Hawks turned that series around without Seabrook and after those 2 devastating late losses. Toews is the best player in the World right now IMO.

A Hawks-Wild 2nd round would be entertaining, Duchesne looking like he might be back for game 6 though, ruh oh.

Don't look know but a Minnesota team actually made the playoffs! It has been a real up and down year for the Wild, many of the downs were due to injuries. With Brys having the hot hand I honestly think this team can make a deep run in the playoffs....assuming they don't get screwed and matched up with the blue is round 1.

What in the heck us Darcy Kuemper doing behind the net with 'Lanche crashing?

My wife and my little guy are both wearing their Hawks gear today - going to be a fun divided household here for the next week or so.

I had no hockey allegiance in Minnesota, but it's been an exciting few years for the Hawks here in Chicago. Can't help but cheer them on. :)

I really have no idea how this will turn out, and I won't really be disappointed either way as my hockey 'fan-ness' is pretty marginal. But hey ... I'm in Chicago ... fun times.

It's Blackhawk day here in Chicago! Yay! So exciting. And, Chief? :P
Its good Chicago is celebrating Blackhawk Day now. While they still have a team left in the playoffs.

Probably, they only scored 3 goals in 2 games at Chicago. Not going to win too many games without scoring especially against a good team like Chicago. The goaltending wasn't the biggest problem in those first two losses.

Would the Wild still be down 2-1 in this series if they had a healthy Josh Harding in net, or is Chicago good enough across the board that even Josh Harding's superior goalie skills couldn't save this team?

Goaltending has been fine. The Wild just didn't finish on their chances when they thoroughly outplayed the Hawks for stretches in those first two games. They win tomorrow and this is going to get very interesting.

I'd once again suggest that the Wild have largely outplayed the Hawks this series, but their game-breaking talents have been the difference so far. Sounds a lot like the last series we managed to win.

That was a straight up domination across the board, other than that soft goal Bryz gave up the Wild looked pretty freaking good tonight. I know "momentum" doesn't mean a lot in the NHL playoffs, however the Wild have to feel good going to back to Chicago scoring 7 goals against Crawford these last 2 games (should have been 8 on the Granlund no goal).

Cooke back in the lineup is huge, that 3rd line is real, real sexy all of a sudden. Little Spurgeon has come up huge these playoffs as well.

Coyle, Granlund, Spurgeon, Haula, and Scandella are becoming legit studs right in front of our eyes. Scandella isn't getting much play but the kid has been fantastic the last two series.

It makes the future REALLY exciting.

You forgot Nino. Seriously, Fletcher robbed the Islanders. Spurgeon was an undrafted free agent. Fletcher has been pretty damn good - does the Leddy trade even matter anymore? He's not going to be retained this offseason.

Its amazing how Haula has progressed. Why Brodziak gets any ice time whatsoever is beyond me.

Since the Olympics, Granlund has been the team's #1 center (outside of faceoffs).

Are the Wild going to even bother making a run at Vanek this offseason now? What seemed like a shoe in, really doesn't seem like it anymore.
