  1. A.) Bonnes, you were born for TikTok. 2.) The increase. Is this something being seen league wide? D.) I'm jealous of the background.
  2. God bless ya Bonnes. This is EXACTLY what I needed to read tonight. I've only been once to Fort Myers, but I love the joys baseball in the spring brings. I wear a different jersey every day at school this week to celebrate the start of the best season in America. My students are champs and embrace every bit of it with me. They're excited to listen to the first game over lunch in my classroom. Enjoy yourself John.
  3. There is nothing I want more than to see Kirilloff take off. He's been through so much with his wrist. He's so potent at the plate when healthy. A lingering wrist issue is NOT comfortable when you swing bats for a living. I pray this surgery did the trick. Someone posted we wouldn't have traded Arraez if we'd know Kirilloff wouldn't be ready. I would LOVE for this to be true. I'd love to see Alex just demolish baseballs as he did in the minors. However, even Alex, himself, has said recently that he's still experiencing discomfort in the wrist. I pray that it's part of the recovery process. I've followed this kid since draft day and have been waiting for him to let the world know what he's capable off. Now, say he's not able... For all those talking Gallo to 1B? Really?!?! He hits dingers, walks, and plays Gold Glove defense in the outfield. Really going to take a GG outfielder and stick him at first? 3/4 his paycheck is for his defense. Miranda is best suited by far. Kepler even. With Farmer and Gordon as utility and bench (no specific order), we shouldn't have to see Gallo at 1B at all. All this is mute as long as Kirilloff gets back to form. Please do Alex. Please.
  4. Oscar Gonzalez is another guy with very little prospect love, but translated well to the bigs. He deserves an honorable mention.
  5. As mentioned, we're at that point of the off-season. We're all ready to just engage in the game. Miranda will make all the plays he needs to and having Correa next to him will only help (both on the field, for the learning curve, and mindfully as well). He will learn and he will prove whether he's worthy of holding the position or moving off when others show up. Let the kid play.
  6. Man. I'm such a huge Canterino fan. I love his swagger, his energy, and overall approach to the game. His energy is infectious. Then, throw in his dominant ability. JUST. STAY. HEALTHY.
  7. Nothing but Rain Drops bobbleheads volume 2. Really though, I'm excited to see the next couple moves. Still not over losing Arraez, but excited at the moves. This is so much more exciting than the Terry Ryan model.
  8. I'd have preferred Kep and two of our prospects for Lopez, than Arraez for Lopez and two of their prospects.
  9. Sorry I can't remember the exact interview. I listen to too many podcasts. However, there was an interview of an AFL ball player, may have been Royce Lewis even, and further more, could've been a Seth Stoh's interview. They were speaking honestly about the strike zone of robo umps. It wasn't all to positive. They recalled the pitches where they "KNEW" it wasn't a strike that were called strikes. Then there was the delay. Batters thinking there was a walk isn't anything new, but waiting for the actual call was an inconvenience. Hopefully they fixed the delay.
  10. Still blows my mind we blew $4,000,000 on Wander Javier back in 2015 as Juan Soto signs for $1.5, Andres Gimenez signs for $1.2, and Fernando Tatis Jr. signs for $700,000...$700,000 {escalating George Castanza voice}!!!
  11. Lewis and Lee are definitely the future of the Minnesota Twins. Lewis has really taken an unfortunate path to the majors, and I tip my hat to how he's handled every bit of it. Two ACL's by the time he's 24 is not something you're able to advertise to sell at market, but it is something one person can rise and overcome and beat the odds. I'm in favor of the latter. This kid can lead and I'm beyond excited to see the locker room chemistry when Royce has a corner locker. Lee is the player you see with momentum and you can't help but root as a player. He's got the pedigree, ability, maturity, and aggressiveness. Lee and Royce are only going to compliment each other. In a humble fan's opinion, it doesn't matter who gets there first. I just want to see them play together.
  12. Wow. I know I'm not on payroll to make decisions for the Minnesota Twins, but wow. This is...wow. His OBP, dingers, and GG's, but hard pass 10 times out of 10. We finally are rid of Sano. I guess one year of Gallo trying to prove his worth is okay? But is it? I'll gladly eat crow on this. But wow. Not a signing I was expecting. Nor wanting.
  13. I agree on pretty much all, except I think we could've pushed harder for Bassitt. Not a huge strikeout arm, but very capable top-mid rotation guy. However, Rodon, Gray, Mahle, Maeda, and Ryan sounds freakin' fantastic and freakin' doable.
