It's hard to say at this point. If TR will still in charge, I would say the 1/1 pick doesn't salvage the season. If we make strong hiring decisions at the PoBO and GM levels AND they in turn make the right calls in the scouting department AND we get a little bit lucky on the development and injury fronts, then I could see 1/1 salvaging this season. Unfortunately it will take a couple of years to have a firm answer to this question. All I can say with certainty now is that I hope we're not asking the same question next September.

I'm not sure where the Cardinals stand as far as Kolten Wong and their 2B situation goes, but they are an organization I would love to target for Dozier. Dozier and one of AB Walker or Palka for Alex Reyes and Jack Flaherty would make me very, very happy.
