  1. I am all about extending Dozier at this point, he is underrated in what he's done in recent years. he's the kind of guy you might not really miss till he's gone, but he hits lots of dingers, plays decent defense, good runner, and typically has a decent BA.
  2. I think the twins should be all in at this point, just go for it and ride the young guys, who knows where they can take you, they sure did last year! Seems like a long shot, but why not make it fun for everybody, fans included. If all the pieces click and Cleveland somehow falls off a cliff, we could do it Maybe I should just call Jim Pohlad and tell him, might be easier
  3. It used to be that he had flashes of looking decent, but then he'd just fall apart. He is a much better pitcher now with a good mindset, like when his last start he had bases loaded and 1 out, and still worked out of it. In previous years, he would have unraveled right there and then. fun guy to watch now
  4. I think he is using the day off to work on conditioning each time, correct me if I'm wrong but I read that somewhere
  5. Sano is just so easily beatable by opposing pitchers right now, just get a couple fastballs at the edges he fouls off and then throw a slider/curve that goes low and outside, and he chases for strike 3, the discipline is terrible. If he could stop chasing those and force more pitches in the strike zone, he could become dangerous again, until then he is going to be sad to watch until someone hangs something over the middle of the plate
  6. This is tough to take, right now is when our window was supposed to be opening with the young core, but it's been more just stuck shut, somebody got too generous with the daggum paint on the outside of our window. oh well, all it would take would be some of the young guys to start clicking and away we'd go
  7. This The Twins have an incredible amount of talent at the Major league level, if it all started clicking, heck we'd make the Astros look like schoolboys
  8. Lol, or maybe he's trying to beat him and realizes he needs to make up some time?
  9. I hate when I got to the kitchen looking for food and all I find are ingredients
  10. Would you rather.... Have a semi load of IKEA furniture to put together this summer, or watch Phil Hughes start every fifth day?
  11. I agree, while I realize they have worked hard to get where they are at, and they do create the revenue for teams, wouldn't it just be hard to not settle for 5/100M and be happy? Man you could do anything you wanted for the rest of your life (practically) once that contract is up. I can maybe see if they were a little bit upset, but anger??
  12. I like what Buck Showalter said to Chris Davis when they were going back and forth and it was all about money, "How much is enough?" he said. "I asked Chris during the season, 'Chris, when you walk into a Target store, can you buy anything you want. So, how much is enough?'
  13. So basically either there is going to be a flurry of free agent signings now, or some of the top dogs of this class are going to miss out on a big deal. I really wonder what is going to happen...
  14. Exactly, sports needs more people like Dozier. Instead of all the immature Kevin Durants and hot headed Bryce Harpers, he is a great guy with a humble attitude and a very successful player.
  15. If the Twins miss Darvish and it comes down to the fact they wouldn't go 6 years, count me disappointed. The window for success is now and we need someone like him or our rotation is going to be struggly yet again. Come on guys, break the mold! It's not like you'd be paying him through age 40.
  16. Pretty hard to complain about this....low money one year deal with a chance to be a nice bullpen addition and a mentor to the younsters. With Busentiz, Rogers, Hildenberger and Curtiss all in, it's not too bad but sure wouldn't mind a quality veteran signing.
  17. Man if these guys don't sign at least 1 good reliever, I'm going to be a non-happy camper. Cishek signs for $12-14 Mil across 2 years and Kintzler for $10m across 2 years, those aren't unaffordable.
