The Minnesota Twins have had a busy few days, completing trades with the Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds and New York Yankees. The motivations of those trades haven't exactly followed a common logic, so it's easy to wonder what the front office is trying to achieve. While the picture is definitely still in the process of developing, here are my thoughts on what they're up to.

The Minnesota Twins traded for two-time All-Star starting pitcher Sonny Gray. In return, they sent their most-recent first-round draft pick, Chase Petty, to Cincinnati. The Twins also landed relief prospect Francis Peguero in the deal. Here is my reaction, some analysis and thoughts on where I'd like to see the Twins go from here.

Aaron Gleeman recently spoke with Keith Law, both of The Athletic, about the state of the system.
