  1. Shutting Buxton down is folding the season. As abyssal as the offense has been with him, it doesn't take much imagination to see what it'll be without him. If they wouldn't shut him down earlier to deal with his lingering issues, doing it now doesn't make much sense if the goal is still a playoff push. And if the goal wasn't a playoff push in the first place, why wasn't he shut down earlier?
  2. Really bad time for the bats to go silent for a series. And it ain't going to get any easier! They needed to make hay during this past week or so, and they didn't do it.
  3. Context is needed here. As others have noted, the upper tier of the prospects are now producing with the big league club. That said, hopefully those prospects on the IL can return and produce that they can develop and back fill the roster next year.
  4. I don't really disagree with any of this, but I also don't disagree with bringing in Lopez to finish the game. I think that's what he was brought in to do, so I find it odd that that is questioned to such a degree. Especially when he got the job done.
  5. I know the context. The other school of thought is that you can now use Duran again tomorrow.
  6. They traded for a closer. Why would they not use him accordingly?
  7. I appreciate sourced material... especially when it comes to food...
  8. They still set the franchise record for consecutive scoreless innings pitched though, didn't they? Didn't they need 6.1 today?
  9. Especially with as good as Theilbar has been of late.
  10. That sounds quite good... Glad I already ate though.
  11. And with the Lewis injury, I'm more hopeful every day that he doesn't!
  12. It seems like they do that for a week or two and then go full ostrich again for another week or two. It's rather frustrating.
  13. I'm sorry...I can't stop laughing at this notion ...its so absurd!!!
  14. Fair, but that would require me to watch the NFL then. Hard pass. That said, I do thoroughly enjoy Peyton's sense of humor.
