I got rid of my XM so all I really have on in my car is sports talk despite the fact that I hate it. Case I point: this afternoon, one of the dreadful shows on espn radio suggested that the Vikings send a bunch of picks to Baltimore to acquire Lamar Jackson. How these guys get hired when they have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about is astonishing.

The Vikings have been competitively rebuilding for most of their existence. A big reason why the trophy case is bare. Always competitive, never get high draft picks. Mired in competitive mediocrity

Trade as many people you can for as many picks as you can. Kwesi better do a whollllle lot better than he did last draft or we’ll be battling for the basement. You might see the lions win the division next year….

Even the mahomes and Allens of the world can’t win 3-4 playoff games by themselves though. Mahomes has one of the best coaches to ever do it. The rams had stars all over their roster last year. To win that much you need everyone. And you need to avoid the boneheaded mistakes like jumping offsides on 4th and Inches and calling a bizarre pass to your slow QB on 3rd and 1. Has there been that many teams that have won super bowls bc of one quarterback by himself? I can’t imagine so. I believe Kirk is good enough to win us a Super Bowl based on his talent.

I disagree. I watched all the games this weekend and he played every bit as well if not better than anyone else outside of daniel jones, and DJ could have read War and Peace during his dropbacks with all the time he had. Everyone will remember the final play but he was the ONLY reason we even had a shot to begin with. I’m glad he’s out QB and he gets an insane amount of hate. Defense gave up 430 yards, another game of more than 400. Gave up more than 400 yards in 7 of the last 10 games. Until that gets even partially rectified, there’s no QB in the league who can win with that. None not even mahomes

I’m not sure there were many better options on that final play. We only needed 8 yards and most of the WRs were running deep patterns. He was also about to get sacked because our OLine is horrendous. It was an odd play call IMO and it should not tarnish what Kirk did this season. He’s one tough SOB to get hit and sacked as much as he did this season and not miss more a snap. It’s a shame we haven’t had an offensive line since 2009. It’s a shame we haven’t had a defense since 2017. And it’s a shame we’re wasting years of a really good QB because we have nothing around him. Daniel Jones looked like a top 5 QB in large part because we could get no pressure on him.

No clue what the college QB class will be like after NEXT season, but I assume a top 15 pick in the 2024 draft. Around 500. Maybe top 10 if things go really badly. Could be helpful

Really sucks after watching the Vikings, seeing teams like Miami and Baltimore, big underdogs, give a good battle in their games. I just don’t know how long I’ll have to live to see a champion. It may never happen.

Classic overthinking. The upside of that play was never going to be more than a couple yard gain. Kirk is the slowest man alive

That’s the problem. You really need to tear it down in many aspects but hard to do that with a good QB and all pro WR

Easy to be angry now but on the bright side, the niners would have absolutely curb stomped us next week

Reasons for this loss: 1) defense and everything about it 2) offsides on what would have been a converted 4th down 3) bizarre play call throwing the ball to Kirk on 3rd and 1

Respectfully disagree. He was the only reason we were in the game. Arguably the biggest reason a team with such a bad defense won 13 games. Can’t defend that last pass but the man gets abused behind a bad offensive line every game and still balls out. He was far down the list of reasons why they lost today
