Mauer still acts like he's in a daze. He spends more time grooming the batter's box than on base. When will the front office trade him for a couple of prospects? He moves in slow motion most of the time. His defense is poor. Have any of the Twins coaches pointed out the flaws in Mauer's approach and mechanics at the plate, so 70% of the balls aren't grounded to second base? The Twins will not improve with Mauer in the lineup.
Wish I could swallow those words, but it's pretty obvious he's not the player he used to be. But he does chat and smile a lot with other players, so I guess he's a nice guy.
