  1. McKay is on ESPN right now. I like him, very polished, sitting 91-94, good off speed stuff, lefthanded, I think he will be relatively quick to the majors. I think he'd be a very safe pick. That being said, he seems like more of a middle of the rotation starter and I don't know if that's good enough for 1-1. If they are leaning his way I have to think it's to save money to spend on 35/37. I guess I could live with it, but I would probably go with the higher upside of Wright or Greene if it was my decision.
  2. Palacios bio lists him at 145 lbs, has he put any weight on since then? http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=650339#/career/R/hitting/2017/ALL
  3. Someone break it down for me, what type of prospect is Rodriguez? What kind of stuff does he have? What's his best pitch? Does he project more as a starter or reliever?
  4. Lots of promising news on the pitching front yesterday. Slegers has really come on this year, something seems to have clicked with him. Burdi needs a call soon (at the very least to AAA). And Thorpe is back on the mound. Overall, a very good day on the farm!
  5. It should be an interesting few days. I'm assuming De Leon at minimum would have to be included to entice them to deal Dozier. If they can get De Leon, Buehler (or Sheffield) and another quality prospect I think they'd do it. On another note. I don't understand why there would be any interest in Puig to the Twins, he's a clubhouse cancer and would be moving to a team that was completely lacking in clubhouse leadership, that seems like a bad combination to me.
  6. Luis Arraez keeps raking. He's just 19, he's hit everywhere he's been. What kind of prospect is he?
  7. How long does Mauer's contract run again? https://twitter.com/afansview/status/749967415929217028 https://twitter.com/1500espn_reusse/status/749962871400910850
  8. The more I see and read about Justin Dunn the more I like him. I'm hoping he makes it to 15. I wouldn't mind Braxton Garrett either though.
  9. Another scoreless inning from Trevor Hildenberger. Any chance he gets to AAA this season?
  10. Good to see Wimmers coming around. Walker just keeps raking. Can anyone fill me in on his defense? Can he man a corner OF spot at the MLB level? Or is he more of a DH?
  11. Yep, fun game to watch. Funkhouser was the more impressive of the 2, his fastball was sitting mid 90's (94-97 range), nice breaking ball, nice offspeed pitch. Eschelman was far from overpowering (I didn't see him hit the 90's on the radar) but he has great control and was really keeping Louisville off balance. Zach Burdi, Nick's brother is pitching right now for Louisville, he throws just as hard as his brother.
  12. John Sickels latest mock has Cameron to the Twins. 6) Minnesota Twins: Daz Cameron, OF, Georgia HS: Cameron to the Twins is another rumor around for weeks, until names like Bregman, Tucker, and Dillon Tate cropped up recently. Bregman is gone in this mock. Carson Fulmer could also be possible if the first place Twins want a quick contributor, but in this case we’ll stick with the bloodline and tools guy. http://www.minorleagueball.com/2015/6/5/8737939/2015-mlb-draft-mock-draft-friday-june-5-sickels
  13. Hildenberger really doesn't seem to have much left to prove at Cedar Rapids, hopefully he gets the call to Ft Myers soon. I'm excited about Chargois too, he's reportedly hitting triple digits regularly.
  14. The bright side of Tate pitching out of the pen is that he's not getting overworked like a lot of college coaches tend to do to their top starters. The more I learn about Jay, the more comfortable I become with the prospects of the Twins picking him at number 6.
  15. Does Jay project as a starter or a relief pitcher? He's been closing at Illinois. 6 seems high for a relief pitcher. If they're going with a LHP, I'd prefer they go Allard (assuming his medicals check out). I really like Tucker too.
  16. 4 things really stick out to me. 1) things really seemed to have finally clicked for Max Kepler. 2) Trey Vavra has to be moving up on the Twins top prospect lists. 3) 10 triples for Buxton? Wow. 4) who is this Trevor Hildenberger?
