  1. Gordon, Kepler, and Polanco get us any decent pitching in a trade? Or does Polanco’s trade value better next season at deadline?
  2. Let Buxton DH for the rest of the year, to get healthier, or at least until Gordon starts to faultier. He is so solid right now.
  3. Sad it had to end this way, but is best for the team. I am incredibly uncomfortable with Pagan in any situation and to a much lesser extent Jax. Any chance Sands sticks when we can bring Moran back?
  4. The front office uses the IL like a AAAA team, or players they don’t know what to do with. It’s kind of annoying.
  5. Wallner is now with the Saints! Love it! Kernals website says:christian-encarnacion-strand to Wichita State Shockers??????‍♂️
  6. No trades, there are to many gaps in the pen. 1 or 2 pen arms won’t change a first round sweep if we make it that far. I love Twins baseball, but this is where we are at.
  7. For Bundy starts yes, maybe Archer if he turns back into a pumpkin. Three innings max for Bundy no matter what the score is or how he is pitching. He goes south fast.
  8. We just don’t want to show the Yanks our best three pitchers, right??
  9. Each start for Archer since his second has been worse. He would be better as a bridge during short starts. Better than Thielbar or Duffy? 2 inning guy maybe?
  10. Devin Smeltzer needs to be in this rotation full time once Joe Ryan comes back. Archer to the pen or goodbye?
  11. Everyone gets a break, and everyone gets a turn, this is the only way all these injuries make any sense. Right?
  12. If you look at Pagans year with the Rays in 2019 he pitched 70 innings, had 96 strike outs and had 20 saves. 2.31 era. He thrived in the closer role. Home run numbers a bit high, but I think the FO views this kid as a late inning guy.
  13. Dozier needs at least on hitter in front of him....right? 1. Hicks/Rosario 2. Dozier 3. Hunter 4. Plouffe 5. Vargas 6. Mauer 7. Suzuki 8. Santana 9. Hicks/Rosario Mauer could bat as low as 7th, but this will probably never happen. Hesitant with the Hicks/Rosario portion of this. Hicks has started to walk a bit and seems to be getting on more consistently OBP is 348 over his last 7 games.
  14. They know what they have in Hu. They probably want to see how Lee fairs against better hitters. Hu is apparently comfortable against AAA pitching granted it was 1 game.
  15. Why is Polanco not getting a taste of AAA? He is being blocked by a 27 year old who has never hit above .300 at any level.(Diaz) Bernier does not count. What is the thinking here? Does anyone think Polanco should get another taste of the show while Santana gets a bit more seasoning at Rochester?
  16. Anyone paying attention to the absolute gem Tommy Milone is tossing right now? 11 K's no walks, two hits through 7. That's two great starts in a row for him. Nolasko better be good tonight. LOL. Milone back on the big team soon and Berrios to Rochester? Probably will not happen until mid season though. If there is doubt that the rotation has turned around, that doubt will soon be gone, might be a bit different rotation is the only difference.
  17. He is only 5 moths older than Buxton. Obviously he plays a different position. He is the future of SS for the Twins right? I need some insight as to why nobody is really talking about him for a promotion or a 2nd look in the bigs. I understand his brief stint last year was out of necessity, but this guy is good, and crushing AA right now. OPS at 833. Talk it out. I will listen.
  18. Hicks will get another chance when Buxton is ready for a brief AAA stint. This could be soon but may not be until after the June 8th draft for roster purposes. When Arcia comes back,Schafer is gone regardless. I think that Hicks gets another shot and Rosario goes back for awhile. Arcia LF, Hicks CF, Hunter RF, Robinson 4th. Rosario is too young to be our 4th out fielder, he has to play somewhere everyday. If we are still in contention as far as the wild card is concerned then this could all go another direction. Bring the best bats forward. Buxton CF, Arcia LF, Hunter RF, Hicks 4th OF. A little hesitant to put Hicks as 4th OF but if he continues to hit, his bat and speed could be of benefit down the stretch off the bench. Also he would be a great late inning defensive replacement for Arcia in LF. Not an expert, just my thoughts. I think about this stuff a lot just never post it. Go Twins!
  19. Former Army artillery standing by with Illum for any night ops you may need to conduct while scouting.
