I would only be disappointed in anyone who implied that Royce's performance against McKay last night was an indictment of the Twins decision to take Royce.
I was worried before the bad reports, before the injury, before he was signed, I was worried on the day he was born. Therefore I win the internet and am awarded most smart person in the kingdom.
The Twins have been a big part of my life since the mid-sixties and it is nice to read stories that either I never heard before or that I have forgotten The 1965 airlift and the celebration over trading RD fall into those categories. Thank you for continuing this series.
lots of hard cases in the comments section today - the "I have higher expectations" crowd. If stories like this never happened I might get it, but they do - See Chris Coste. I hope for the best for every Twin minor leaguer and see no reason to crap on anybody's dreams on the internet.
Jerry Ujdur definitely a blast from my past, having been born in Duluth in 1957 as well. The older I get the more I enjoy harking back to the glory days. Thanks again for keeping this regular feature going.
