  1. Should have seen him when he was an 8 week old puppy. He stopped traffic and people ran out of their cars to pet him.
  2. Step 1: Create Forum Topic Step 2: Title it Handling Kepler and Polanco Step 3: ??? Step 4: Profit
  3. How are they doing this after shipping out their 4th best player on roster to St Paul?
  4. I should get my dog a Twins shirsey. I’m currently thinking Bartolo Colon because he’s moving at a glacial pace when it’s thundering all around us.
  5. Whelp. Some storms are quickly rolling through town and I’m a mile away from the house with my dog…. Might be a wet T-shirt contest happening soon.
  6. Arraez tracking to break Barry Bonds’ .609 OBP record.
  7. 73 and sunny here! I’m logging off work for the day and taking my dog for a long walk.
  8. I tried finding even a single statistic where Urshela is better than Arenado. The only thing I found is Urshela has 2 errors and Arenado has 3 errors.
  9. Correa and Buxton together in the lineup and the field!
  10. Congratulations! This is the hottest take of all!
  11. One guy continuously yelling let’s go Oakland is driving me up the wall.
  12. 1) Where do you follow the Twins from? St Louis Park - Austin, TX the previous 8 years 2) What's your jobby job? Software sales - stuck on Zoom meetings these days ? 3) How 'bout hobbies? Golf, gardening, watching the local sports teams, breweries, grilling, video games, the latest and greatest fads from my 2 year old niece (currently Go Dogs Go and Frozen) 4) How long have you followed the Twins? First got into baseball in 1998 thanks to the McGwire/Sosa HR race. Attended some games early on but the 2001 team caught my attention. 5) How many games do you attend a season? None but looking forward to going back to Target Field for a game this summer. I’d go to 2-3 AAA games in Austin every year. 6) Who is your favorite all-time Twin? Gonna cheat and say 2 players. Johan Santana is the most dominant pitcher I’ve seen in a Twins uniform. Joe Mauer for his longevity with the team. 7) Who is your current favorite Twin? Byron Buxton, but Carlos Correa is a close 2nd… Nothing would make me happier to see them both locked up long term. 8 )What is the coolest/craziest/most absurd/etc thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Not sure… It’s been too long since I’ve been in-state to see them in person. Last time I was, we were in the dark ages of Vance ‘Vanimal’ Worley and Sam Deduno leading the rotation. 9) What is the most memorable thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Francisco Liriano’s wipeout 91 MPH slider when he was first called up. 10) What is your favorite all-time Twins moment? The incredible 2nd half comeback in 2006 to win the division.
  13. https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/2341260/amp Interesting article about MLB attendance as a whole in April this year. There’s a decrease in ticket sales vs. 2019, but it’s not all doom and gloom. 16 teams saw an increase in attendance vs. 14 seeing a decline.
  14. In fairness, the Timberwolves and Wild are also difficult to watch for cord cutters since they’re also on Bally Sports North. If people forget about the game all together it’s because of the product itself, not access to it.
  15. Dropping in to say I enjoy the jab at SkorNorth in the OP. They’re a group of hacks that manufacture outrage and ridiculous takes.
  16. Ticket sales (season tickets especially) lag a year behind. So this is what we’re seeing after an 89 loss season in 2021. Beyond that, you mentioned very real and valid reasons why people aren’t attending entertainment events. Inflation being the most valid reason out of the bunch. We know it’s very expensive to take a family to a game, and people may not have the disposable income they once did to go to a game.
  17. Sounds like they worked out a plan pre-season to manage his workload. As long as Buxton isn’t upset with the plan, I’m not upset with the plan.
  18. We could win the next 20+ games in a row, but if the first game to the Yankees in June is a loss, board up Target Field. It’s over.
