  1. The Falvey regime keeps their cards close to their vest. It is kind of amazing how they manage that process.
  2. Why would you take a young up and coming hitter like this and turn him into a DH? I have a better chance of being the Twins DH then this happening and I haven't picked up a bat in over 57 years.
  3. I am not overly concerned about Pagan, he either performs or he doesn't. I am guessing he is on a short leash to begin the season. A bigger gamble is Carlos Correa because if he goes down with an ankle issue Minnesota becomes the laughing stock of MLB and ownership pretty much has no choice but to jettison Falvey and Levine. See, there is always a silver lining to be found.
  4. John, I hope to run into you at spring training the first week in March (March 5th through March 11th.)  We chatted briefly several years ago about how impressive Chase Petty was, as he was throwing to a catcher, while we were 20 feet away from the catcher (behind a sturdy fence) on one of the back mounds along one of the many fields. Marco Raya was also throwing that day. I commented on how it amazes me that someone so small (Raya) could throw a baseball so fast. You said it was in the legs. We did not introduce ourselves, but we just talked some. I'll make it a point to introduce myself if I see you this spring at Ft. Myers. I hope you are doing well. Sincerely, David Benbow (tarheeltwinsfan is my Twins Daily moniker).

  5. Seems to me the Twins keeping cutting at the edges to make it more of a non-event and then in a year or two will shut it down for low attendance.
  6. Seth, I agree 100%. He has not panned out in LA (so far) but I would love to see him get a shot with the Twins. He reminds me if Shane Mack in a way. A change of scenery might be just the thing to get him to the next level. I think he is a risk worth taking, it just depends on what the Angels want in return.
  7. There is no such thing as a total no trade clause. There is always a way around it, it just depends on how bad you want to make a deal.
  8. The list of Twins players with things to prove should include most everyone on their roster and the top two on the list should be Buxton and Pagan.
  9. If he can finally find a way to shake off the injuries and stay somewhat healthy. Isn't that like saying if Miguel Sano didn't strike out so much he would be a great player? Instead he finds himself looking for a job.
  10. There is absolutely no reason to think that Buxton is going to be healthier as he ages. The Twins needs to catch him in one of his healthy productive streaks and trade him as quickly as possible. Get as much as you can for him as you can while you can.
