The Houston Astros Guide to Public Apologies
Highabove replied to RandBalls Stu's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Will Players around the League administer their own justice on the Astros this season. The Astros may be the first Baseball team in history to sign and put on their roster some NHL type enforcers. They could find themselves in more brawls then the old Philadelphia Flyers. http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn%3AANd9GcTHU9OzmtwRZI7SuU28_VBvETIo4pKd5uSSA8XCfPDg7afsSFZBKtHGhZoOm3NaL5HrVquRZ4E&usqp=CAc- 18 replies

Its interesting to read what is being written about this trade in Los Angeles Dodger Nation It goes without saying that the versatile Maeda will be sorely missed by the fan base and clubhouse alike. In his Dodgers career, the right-hander appeared in 137 games (103 starts) with an ERA of 3.87. In today’s baseball world, that is beyond serviceable. Furthermore, he went 2-1 in postseason play in 24 appearances; along with a 3.31 ERA in October. Certainly Los Angeles is getting an incredible player in Betts. However, Minnesota is getting one tremendous pitcher in Maeda, and that shouldn’t be a footnote in all of this Dodger Digest . Kenta Maeda, meanwhile, has wanted his role as a starter defined and he probably gets that with the Twins, who get an above-average starter and a player with four years of team control for around $12 million guaranteed. The Dodgers are awash in average to above-average starters, so that’s not really the issue here, but the fact that he was nails in the pen for a bullpen who still have question marks could end up being the bigger loss.

Good News Rob Anthony was on 1500 tonight. He mentioned that Graterol is being conditioned for a debut in the Twins bullpen latter this year. He is throwing over 100 with lots of movement. Lets hope.

I have been a season ticket holder for over ten years. I have never been as stressed about Twins related matters as I am now, I ask why. It is just not about the Players that we need to add. We will learn a lot about the mindset of this organization in less then two hours. I have had a fear that while this Organization puts a lot of emphasis on fielding a good competitive product, I also suspect that winning a championship is not a high priority of theirs.I hope I am proven wrong.

There is some fear that this might be their signature bullpen move. The Front Office deserves to get ripped if this is the case. It's a good move if this in front of some high end bullpen acquisitions.

Is The Twins FO Actually Mad They Are Good?
Highabove commented on Dave Overlund's blog entry in Dome Dogg's Blog
The goal is to collect as many quality prospects as possible. Winning a Championship is secondary and should not really matter. Of course the FO is mad. Another problem is the additional employees the Twins have to hire to handle the sell out crowds. -
Don't look now but Cleveland is five games over five hundred and half a game out of the wild card. Cleveland has cut the Twins lead to nine. They also will have some key players coming back.

Why would JR Graham have a leg up on a pitcher such as Lester Oliveros? Oliveros has far superior numbers. So what if the Twins lose Graham.
