  1. A team with Nick Gordon batting 5th is hard to take seriously.
  2. I'd say of those, Duran has established himself as a viable MLB pitcher. His stuff is too good not to be successful if healthy. Ryan and Jax are partially there. Neither are established yet though. Ryan looks no better than Scott Diamond did after a year. Ober, Winder and Moran have established nothing. The "pipeline" is so robust they needed to sign Archer and Bundy, and trade for another starter and 2 relievers.
  3. Dunno about that. Seems to me wasn't saving himself during the AS break. He stepped out on us.
  4. Good luck, Mr Cantarino. Maybe reach the Twins pen summer 2024.
  5. So what's going on with Buxton? Four starts in August, all at DH.
  6. So bust the union. What other major pro sport doesn't have a salary cap?
  7. This isn't about single season WL records. That's due to the nature of the two sports and seasons less than 20 games vs 162 games. This is about a team in Green Bay being on equal financial feet as a team in Dallas as a team in Los Angeles. Those teams can go up and down in Wins and Losses based on personnel, coaching, and luck. That's no longer the case in baseball, where the Yankees last had a sub .500 record during the Clinton administration. Year 1 of the Clinton Administration BTW. The same top spending teams are at the top of the standings virtually every year. The NFL is a MODEL of parity compared to MLB.
  8. Who resists revenue sharing, salary caps, payroll taxes?
  9. Yup, baseball is broken. 1. Bust the union, like the NFL did, is step one. The union is by far the biggest detriment to competitive balance. Players, BTW, needn't lose much if any money in thr process. A little more can go to the minor leagues, more to the average MLB players, a lot less to the few at the top. 2. Share the money. Almost all of it. This is one area where ownership needs to show some foresight. Share it among ownership, and the players. 3. Hard salary cap and hard salary floor. Non negotiable. No exceptions. The Dodgers don't get to spend 1 penny over the cap. The A's don't get to spend 1 penny under. If they're sharing revenues, this is doable.
  10. Hahahaha. 3 straight innings the Yankees lose the ghost runner. Unbelievable.
  11. Seattle just picked the Yankee ghost runner off 2nd in the top of the 10th. Heh. Nice to see someone else run the based like little leaguers
  12. I remember as a kid my brother and I fought a lot. One time my mom asked me why I had kicked my brother in the stomach. "It was an accident, mom," I said. "I didn't see him turn around!"
  13. Seattle-NYY scoreless in the 9th on the MLB network. This Seattle team is no joke.
  14. I have the power to delete, but that ain't goin' nowhere
  15. You watch your language in front of the ladies, pilgrim.
  16. Seems like it shouldn't be that hard to find. Your average MLB infield is pretty bare around 3rd base.
  17. You watch your language in front of the ladies, pilgrim.
