  1. I think Wei Tang should be returned to the 36 chambers. 36 chambers has ALWAYS been my nickname for the Twins.
  2. I hate this trade. A potential career's worth of Wu Tang jokes/references right down the toilet.
  3. To insinuate that the twins were simply being cheap versus trying to execute a specific plan is a little disingenuous I believe. Not that they have never been (probably rightly) accused of being cheap in the past. I just don't think this is an obvious example of it. So it appears they left a total of about 766,000 on the table (assuming no one was signed at the deadline). I don't doubt for a second they were trying to spend some of that to try to sign some more lower round picks. But that's just like my opinion man.
  4. I'm pretty sure this is sarcasm, but in reality the twins didn't save any money. They spent all the money they could. They just gave it too other draft picks instead of the #1 pick.
  5. So if batting the young man in the three hole to start the season is a vote of confidence message.... what message is moving him to 9 and pinch hitting for him late in games??? Good article - well said.
  6. How about Buxton not running after the lead off walk in the seventh? Molitor or Buxton to blame? Hindsight and 20/20, yadda yadda yadda..., but it seemed like a huge opportunity lost at the time.
  7. I remind everyone of Dozier's season start last year. He was officially done as a viable ML hitter if i remember right. it's a wee bit early to call Buxton's season over.
  8. Been awhile since I got Rickrolled. Even had the darn puzzle figured out...
  9. Let's call it the reverse "Dozier effect" this season. Many, including yours truly, had Brian being DONE a few weeks ago. Now it looks like he could go up to the plate blindfolded and swinging a broomstick and still hit one out. Long season.... ebbs and flows...oscillations....reversions to the mean...etc. Hopefully Joe has a few more hot streaks later this year. And when he does, hopefully they last for a while.
  10. Looked like Plouffe had roots in yesterday's game. Not saying Sano makes every play, but he can certainly be as good or better than Plouffe was yesterday.
  11. Either use him or get his butt back to AAA to continue working on his craft. Sitting on the bench behind all the current "shut down" relievers we are employing is making me question Molitor's sanity. Starting or relieving.... let him do something!!!
  12. Any chance that Meyer gets a start in the next couple of days? It's the only other thing I could think of that made any sense other than the "Molitor hates young guys and/or TR" theory.
  13. Who would you like him to replace if everyone else plays to their potential? Plouffe trade. Sano to third.
  14. If and/or when TR gets what he deems to be fair (or close to fair) value for Plouffe, I believe we will see the former. Just a matter of time.
  15. I've been thinking about this the last couple of days. Other than making us really right handed, wouldn't this be the move to take us from a pretty good line-up to a downright scary one? Doesn't cost prospects, only $$$$. Would be a little crowded in the outfield until Plouffe is traded, but I believe that's a when, not if, deal.
