    If the trade did not happen, then we would not have signed Correa. Then Lewis would have been our starting SS by July and he would not have gotten injured in centerfield.

    He’s a good player, but Rod Carew he is not. People compare his ability to make contact to Rod Carew. But not much else. He has below average speed and defense with little power. I’d much rather have an improving and versatile Nick Gordon than a singles hitter without a position. Especially if a team is willing to buy high on said singles hitter.

    Now is the time to trade him. First sign his runner up, Correa. Arraez is a man without a position next year.

    They will be healthy and ready to go. Larnach in LF. Wallner 4th outfielder. AK at first. Trade Arraez for a catcher. Miranda backup 3B, 1B and DH. Gordon super utility. Sign Correa. 2023 is going to be a year of health where everyone has solid, career years. Why not?
