  1. I can already see the four TDs against Minnesota if he's a lion
  2. He's blown out his knee walking out the door, right? As stated, anyone is tradable for the right price. That said, since he is as injury prone as Buxton, his value is too low to do so now.
  3. Sad, but necessary move. I like they took the whole hit this year. Accumulating assets for next year, including cap space, is the goal for me.
  4. I have no idea if Miranda can play third or second or what. But I think he can hit, and I think he should get half a year at third to see what he can do. They played Urshela at third because that's all he could do well. And they replaced him because of that. Nick's way off on his statements there, imo. If Miranda can't, then it's Lee's job. He's a future all star.
  5. I was at the Vikings / Packers game where the kicker missed three easy kicks.....and the Packer fans were amazingly nice to me and the other Vikings fans during the game (and after the last miss).
  6. This one is weird: Fairweather/bandwagon fans. I mean, that's the kind of fan it makes the most sense to be.
  7. If Kiriloff is hurt, I'd love to see Wallner or Larnach get a shot at first. Though I believe Larnach is the long term RF, if he's healthy.
  8. That's not what is taught at all even in MBA class. Research also doesn't back that up.
  9. You can trade veterans for C prospects....that might or might now work. Did anyone say trade for a good veteran?
  10. So, trade for no one? Your choices were Castillo (cost Lewis, lee, and two others) or Mahle or Montas. Those were it. Should the FO NOT have added a SP at the deadline? Sure, it was a risk, it is also why he cost what he cost, not more....
  11. I find it having it both ways to complain Buxton is here and a health risk, and to want him here. If you want him here, how much better do you want than Gordon, Taylor, and Gallo as current backups, with Martin (ugh, hurt) and a few other minor leaguers not that far off that can play center potentially? I clearly don't understand the complaint about what the FO is doing with CF. Help me understand.
  12. 4 catchers appeared in that many games last year. I think your goal is unrealistic. I agree they need more catching prospects, but it is also possible they'll just sign FA catchers every year they need one, and concentrate on other positions in the draft and trades (I'd consider Polanco for a high level C prospect and another player this year or next).
  13. You are comparing him to guys that were never considered real prospects? And only looking at Twins? Ya, there just isn't data to back up your hypothesis. MANY college guys barely appear in the majors before 24......
  14. If I was going to actually worry about baseball, the third catcher would be near my top concern (that and that Gallo and Kepler both don't hit).
  15. It truly is amazing. Plus he's a catcher! Hardest position in the game. The lack of patience from fans always amazes me.
  16. The accusation here is pretty far off. Maybe don't attack posters you don't know anything about. This is about the pohlads, not us.
