I guess the Twins didn’t like my plan of letting Sonny Gray pitch 7 innings and then using Lopez and Duran for the 8th and 9th -

Gray has really settled in. This might be a game where you let him go 7 innings, except that you also want to give Duran and Lopez a little work so they’re not too cold going into Anaheim Friday.

Sure, but it’s not like the runner got right up and sprinted for third. He stood up and practically brushed himself off looking for where the ball went, then jogged to third.

Only wasted a leadoff single last inning, better than the wasted leadoff double in the first. This inning I’m hoping we only waste a leadoff out, and the next inning after that… and pretty soon we might be able to scratch out a run at some point

The PRP injection didn’t work, apparently. It might be time to start discussing surgery? I have no idea what that surgery would be or the recovery time, but I’m thinking the Twins still want Buxton to limp to the end and hope for some Kirk Gibson heroics in Sept/Oct yes, sad emoji

Cory Provus is awesome, case in point from this weekend (paraphrasing here): Alex Kirilloff is hurt, which is bad news for the Twins; Emilio Pagan is also hurt, which is bad news for Pagan (He wasn’t making light of Kirilloff’s injury by any stretch of the imagination. just interesting phrasing comparing Kirilloff and Pagan) -
