Maybe he didn't do anything with the chances he got, but I disagree he got every chance and then some. The Twins tried to make him into a corner outfielder at one point. Because of his big bat I am assuming. He didn't even catch in 2014 (one MLB inning the entire season). Even in Rochester in 2014 he played more outfield than catcher. Now if they had ever traded him at any point during that stretch, they probably would have gotten no more than Palka anyway. But just to play the hindsight card, it would be nice to have some good catching here right now, instead of another strikeout prone outfield prospect in the minors. So far, Herrmann is playing in Arizona twice as much as he played here, give or take.
