    Who gets cut?

Ashbury, the date is June 16th
  2. Dozier will be 28 this yr, that would mean he would be entering age 32 season his FA yr , not 29.
  3. I also would like to see a few of these players up a level; Garver up a level to see if he can keep hitting, Stuart has starting hitting recently , so may not be a need to move Garver up except for him to see better pitching...........I know both Garver and Stuart were up for college catcher of the year last year, does anyone know what separates them as prospects??..............................I'd love to see Berrios at AA, but don't think it will happen, or even should, he has far exceeded my expectations, and I , for one am happy about that ............................And I wouldn't mind any of the promotions you have from AA to AAA and AAA to majors, just know they all wont happen, but a few would be nice...........by the way anyone reading this, I LOVE TWINS DAILY!!!!! LOL
  4. Any insight as to the reason Turner was gone for a few days or more?
  5. If we had the first pick, this would be my guy.......so of course, i would hope he drops to us.........I know Kolek has tremendous potential, but i don't want him, to much of an injury waiting to happen, plus he is not considered athletic, and I don't think he will be able to find his command.(all this on not seeing him, just reading reports and what others have said, just doesn't feel right to me) My Top 4 for me.....1 Jackson 2 Rodon 3 Aiken 4 Gordon.
  6. Well, one of the ways to combat this is to hit mistake pitches, I don't know how many times on the 1st and or 2nd pitch, that the ball is in his wheelhouse and he lets it go by..........that has always been disturbing to me, but he has always hit well , so it was no big deal, now that teams are shifting on him, after strike 1 and or strike 2, they keep hitting the outside forcing him to roll over a grounder or hit into the shift............I think the best remedy to this is to hit on first or second pitches more...........I think most of the bashing is because he shows no emotion and most people feel that showing emotion, is caring, even if not true.
  7. Well darin617, I will be saying the same thing if they don't do something once these 2 guys make it to the big leagues, and you may be right about only wanting to make money. And I do think these guys would take a 8 yr contract out of the shoot, as they both would be in there prime when contract runs out(28-29yrs old) and be in line for a mega contract in the 10 yr $350 million deal if they are as good as advertised...........Now what supfin99 proposes (12 yr contract) wouldn't fly, IMO.
  8. As much as I would like to Twins to try this route, it wont happen, if they didn't do longer term for Mauer(and maybe that is how Mauer wanted it), they wont do it for a none homegrown talent, even if it is off the charts. But we can dream, and if they were to only do it for one, I also would be more inclined to do it for Buxton than Sano..........in this day of high dollar signings as draftees and Dominican FA's not as much incentive to sign team friendly deals, cuz they are close to set already without having give to friendly of deal discounts for there home team.
  9. If I was Sano's agent, I would take a contract similar to this, but with with either less option yrs, or the option yrs starting 2 yrs sooner. So I will breakdown, my counterproposal(if I were Sano's agent) LOL Signing bonus $3 mill 1: $500,000 2: $750,000 3: $1.5 mill 4: $4.0 mill 5: $6.0 mill 6: $8.0 mill 7: $15.0 mill(team option) 8: $18.0 mill(team option) This guarantees ONLY(lol) $23.75 mill, and if Twins like him, after the 2 option yrs $56.75 million, so they can still have him for 8 yrs. In your scenario(I don't dislike it) but if he was or is a bust, you are guaranteeing $40 million. I like the discussion. I think it would be a win win, Twins guarantee 8 yrs if they like what they see, and only out 23.75 mill, compared to 40 mill if he doesn't pan out. And for Sano, he is still guaranteed life altering money, but still will be young enough(28) when contract over for his once in a lifetime contract if he is what he could be. Going to Dodgers for 10 yrs $350 mill, lol. Remember I wrote here first, lol, come back in 10 yrs see if I am right
  10. So changing managers wont change the way the team plays??? So Baltimore shouldn't have fired the manager they had before Showalter? Or Boston should have kept Valentine?? Cuz I am sure both the manager before Showalter(and I don't remember who it was) and Valentine don't know how to coach. I think it is time for a new manager, whether who we hire is better or not, but I don't want Gardenhire managing the new blood coming thru the system. Its the Twins way or no way it seems, like they did to Gomez, don't go for the fences, hit it the other way, look at him now, I think it was the same for Ortiz, but I really don't remember that. I am just tired of the monotone Twins every single day. And if it makes anyone feel any better or worse, Tom Kelly wasn't a good manager either, they were player managers, but I don't feel they were good game managers. I am a Twins fan, but the Twins won those years because of home field advantage. Great at home and just barely good enough on the road.
  11. Just for comparison, here is my order. 1 Buxton 2 Sano 3 Stewart 4 Gibson 5 Meyer 6 Minier 7 Rosario 8 Berrios 9 Kepler 10 May 11 Polanco 12 Micheal Tonkin 13 Harrison 14 Vargas 15 Josmil Pinto 16 Wimmers 17 Danny Ortiz 18 Adam Brett Walker 19 Levi Micheal(still have hopes that injuries are behind him and he still will be a productive hitter) 20 Eades.
  12. I think Tonkin and Pinto, also should be on the list probably in the 12-15 range. Others to consider close to that 20 range are Aderlin Mejia and Adam Brett Walker.
  13. I like the comments, but I think you are a little optimistic about the timeline on when these guys will get called up or see major playing time at the top level. Like you , earlier I predicted that Buxton , if he keeps raking will see a Sept 2014 call up. But I don't see a Sano call up before Sept of 2014, I think both Buxton and Sano earliest call up is Sept of 2014. Rosario, I think 2015. I think , altho I like him, Travis Harrison is a little high, for being mostly a power only guy, with decent average potential. But we all have opinions and I respect everyones , so overall I like comparing mine ideas to others, so it was fun to read your prospectus
